I attempted to connect to 30 amp using shore power and all batteries went down. Thinking I really screwed up called Liberty spoke to Scott; Troy not there. He advised to crank engine and bring batteries up and all was normal. He walked me thru connecting to 30 but said Liberty reccommend using reel and not shore; reel did not work but shore did? Heading to Jeff’s later this month.

Chuck, can you explain what ‘reel’ is compared to ‘shore’? I connect my shore cord to our 30 amp connection in my storage garage in California. I have to set the inverters to 30 amp on the Crestron.

I don’t know what you mean connect to ‘reel’.

By reel I am talking about the switch that changes the connection from reel to shore(reel may be wrong termanology)

Power cord coming directly from bus

    Chuck,

Without significant upgrades of both inverters and Crestron that won’t apply to your coach.

    Chuck,

To change the charging current levels on your coach, assuming you have the Freedom inverters you have to change the dip switch settings on the rear of the remote panels.

On the I-pad, at the top is an icon called ‘Power’. In that section, I select ‘inverter’.

It gives me a choice of:

    220v/50A

    110v/50A

    110v/30A

Not sure why I would use the middle one….. so the first one all time with 50 amp service, the third one I use for my 30 amp storage connection. We have four 3,500 watt inverters, this sets everything to accept 30 amp.
