Buying this motor from Prevost will set you back about $9000

You can order the motor from the US division of Faulhaber located in Clearwater, FL. But, it will still set you back about $600 and the lead time is 10-12 weeks!

At some time during the past 10 years, Prevost may have switched to a different vendor which makes the same style motor. It is yet another Swiss company.

I contacted them and they turned me away because the motor SKU is a buyer proprietary number, i.e. Prevost, so they would not talk to me.

You have a couple of choices. Live with it. Pay the price or try finding a different source for the motor. Finding the motor is actually not that difficult. The problem you will run into is the gearing.

The price of the motor from Seajet is no lie but there is a simple solution that works 98% of the time.

There is a resistor going into the motor, cut it out and splice in a 2 amp fuse. It will work as the motors rarely go bad.

I did this to mine in Oct and had the same problem as you.

I have the lower portion of the window apart, there is an OMRON MY2 switch with 8 ploes on it. Is the capacitor in the lower part of the window or somewhere else.
