Mine had been done when I got the coach. This is just my mind, unfettered with facts throwing out a thought.

When AC units are run through inverters it loads the alternators heavily and as they work to supply power a lot of heat is generated. Without the SB maybe there was insufficient oil flow. I never really load my alternators beyond the loads imposed by OTR so that might be why my previous coach seemed to not have issues as a result.

Jon I agree but they won’t change it as much as we complain to them. It’s useless is all I am saying. I totally get it though

The more I think about it the more concerned I get.

Shore and generator power both come into the transfer switch so I would start there measuring voltages. Beyond that the AC power I believe goes directly to the electrical panel bus bars. If the voltage drop is between the two power sources and the panel something seems very wrong.

Our air brake systems should not be intimidating, but they should be respected.

When your coach is parked with the parking brake “on” there is no air pressure going to the brake chamber.

Caging a parking brake is using the threaded “T” bolt lonestar pictured to retract the spring that applies the parking brake. The service brakes are applied with air pressure, the parking brakes are applied with spring pressure, and released with air pressure which compresses the spring.

Pay attention to what lonestar is showing and telling. His posts are good and worth learning.

I know that Dave Rousey who used to work for Legendary and owns Styleworks RV told me that he changed out some to eliminate issues. I am sure he could either do it, or give you information on what would work the best. Dave Rousey can be reached at 541-543-7983. It has been awhile since I talked to him, but that number worked then. Do you have the wiring diagrams for your coach? That would help in your search for a replacement. Dave also should have those if you don’t.

Also, Jeff Rowe can probably fix you up with something. He looked my 2008 Legendary about 3 years ago to see what would be a good replacement for that one. My 2008 was different than you 2006 but I am sure he could set you up with something.

We would not be without it. I had Jeff do it on my Legendary a few years ago, and this Liberty already had it installed prior to purchase. I have never even turned on the in-motion system while traveling in the Liberty. I did use it a couple of times in the Legendary.

If you decide to do it, go to Jeff’s and have them do it. It will be done right, and the price will be good as well.

Again, and in keeping with the encouragement of Jon and Truk : it has been fun to work on this so….

    …..in the spirit of the forthcoming non-rally, rally…. and a great time…

Last week, as promised, Betty and I spent a few days at
Catherine’s Landing RV Park on the Quachita River in Hot Springs, Ark. We
visited several restaurants and revisited some of the tourist attractions that
might appeal to everyone. Realizing this is intended not to be highly organized,
we still sought to be able to provide information for all attendees. Those who
have been there before do not need to be sold….

Please reference the picture in the preceding thread
showing the beauty of this place. We have reserved the river sites for our
group but must get them individually spoken for in a fairly-short period because
this place is popular and the river sites are beautiful.

    So far:

    Garvin Gardens:
University of Arkansas School of Architecture

Betty went back to the Garvin Gardens to seek to have a
docent available for a group tour. These gardens are wonderful and display 210 acres
of a superbly created and maintained botanical property.

    From their brochure:

Verna Cook Garvan donated the 210-acre Garvan Woodland
Gardens to the University of Arkansas School of Architecture in 1985. Located
on 4.5 miles of wooded shoreline along Lake Hamilton near Hot Springs, the
gardens feature more than 128 species of ornamental and native shrubs and wild
flowers, 160 different types of azaleas, a 4-acre Asian garden with a 12-foot
waterfall, three unique bridges, the Perry Wildflower Overlook, and the
sandstone and redwood Garvan Pavilion, designed by Fay Jones and Maurice
Jennings. Anthony Chapel, designed by Jennings and David McKee, is a popular
wedding venue. The Evans Children’s Adventure Gardens offers 1.5 acres of
interactive fun with a waterfall and cave, an iron bridge that resembles woven
tree branches and rocks weighing more than 3,200 tons.

    Downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas

As you know, the hot springs are basically natural and from
the earlier years of our nation on through today, people travel far and wide to
experience the delights of these “healing waters.” There is a complete line of
hotels built many years ago that speak to these events of our past and they are
active today and well worth the effort to see and enjoy. Search for them online….. they tell a great story you might wish to experience…

    Potential seminars:

Anyone with any ideas is asked
    to contribute their thoughts…

We could have some great ideas
from “bus conversations” to any other types of interests…

    Many of you have excellent
    talents and interests…

    As strange as this sounds,
would anyone have an interest in a meat seminar? Have you ever wondered what is
the exact difference between a Prime steak at one store / restaurant and a
Prime steak at another? What is the difference between USDA Prime and Choice
versus Select? What makes a Prime steak not a Prime steak for the most
discerning establishments… If there is interest, I have thought about bringing
brochures, etc. on the subject and some examples of the various cuts of meat. I
know that many of the attendees will have their own opinions and thoughts… I
    would enjoy hearing them…

If we have a cook-out one
night, if everyone agrees, I will impose on our dear friends who own the Taste of
Texas Restaurant and ask them to provide us with a supply of rib eye steaks at
their costs. They are the largest purchaser of Golden Black Angus Prime “Prime” in the
United States… I attend their cooking school …you will not believe the
requirements they have for beef selection…

    Please….any thoughts for
    entertainment or for relaxation???

    Places
    to enjoy dining:`

    Rule # 1:

Go on a diet before you come because we have several of the
finest places to enjoy meals we have ever encountered. I hope the following
does them justice. There will be more…

    a.) The Bleu Monkey Grill:

We met Joey Gaydon, co- owner and manager of
the establishment and we followed his guidance on the suggested items to be
considered. We did our best to try the foods on your behalf….Someone had to do
    it.

The Blew Monkey Shrimpis one of the finest dishes I have ever tasted. It has a “bite” to it and is
served with the shrimps in a sauce floating around a cup of rice…. signature
    dish….to die for.

Signature dish #2 is the the Napa
    Chicken
…. two lightly sauteed chicken breasts with a layer of spinach and chesses
between covered with a glaze that is totally memorable. Served with an
assortment of excellent veggie’s…(Had that one twice)

The recommended appetizer is the Texana
    Roll
. This is fixed like a won ton roll but is filled with chicken,
corn, black beans and herbs…. served with a dipping sauce….and it was delicious… chicken served in a pasta type of setting with a great
    sauce….

For the whole hearted attack on the
gastric system… the Fried Chicken surrounding a mountain of mashed potatoes
topped off with a “biscuit” all covered with gravy.. will do the trick…. it
would also send me to the hospital…. but the trip would be worth it….

b.) Fisherman’s Wharf on lake Hamilton:

A fisherman’s wharf on a lake in inland
    Arkansas? Yessir!

This establishment has the traditional sea
food and the setting is a lot of fun because the restaurant is built out over
the water. Boats going by and ducks and geese abound….

They can accommodate us as a group and the
    crab-stuffed flounder should be considered.

Great place…. recommended by many people…. Been
    there done that….

    c.) Whiskers:

Now this one will be unexpected… It is
about six miles from the RV park on Malvern avenue which is the road used by
many as they travel from Highway 30 to the park. This is a newly constructed place
built by a man who has been in the restaurant business many years. Darius Jr is
the present proprietor… says he looks forward to meeting our group…

They serve all types of Po’ Boys, shrimp,
    oysters, hamburgers, etc…

Their specialty, however is smoked “Ribs”… and they are excellent…. For someone who has cooked Bar B Q for over 40 years to
say they are great….. I certainly hope you agree..

    d.) The English Muffin

This place is located on the lake on
Highway 7 at the first crossover bridge. They serve 15 types of English Muffins
fixed any way you want them served as a part of a breakfast menu.

Unfortunately, Betty and I can recommend the
Eggs Benedict made with the Cinnamon Raisin muffins…. Remember you got it here first….

Well.. that is it for now…. I may not be very good at
promoting but we are doing our best….

Please see if your schedule will allow you to attend and let
Catherine’s Landing RV Park know you are a part of the Prevost group….. and
    please let me know…..

    MAY 17th through 21st >>>>> come earlier and/or stay later…

    rsirmons@comcast.net ( C ) 713 725 9486 (H) 713 465 3000.

Please let us know if you can attend….

If we can get enough to attend…..the BIG PIT will be hauled
to Arkansas and will be there……

    Best to all,

    Pres ….and Betty

Most local plumbing codes require a vent within 10′ of a trap. Most of our drains are wqithin 10′ of the waste tank, so the roof vent works. I have blocked vents on several coaches with no difference in operation.

I knoiw we do not have to meet sticks and bricks codes, but it gives one an idea of what works.
