Correct Tom ….and never wrong !!!!!
, All company owned stores will honor AITA-NAPA card.
Local owned NAPA will for the most part honor it. Some of the smaller volumn stores don’t do enough sales in heavy duty side to qualify thus, will not honor the card.
As we want customers to buy at our store.. NAPA wants to grow there jobber business. Offering programs to increase business by bringing customers into the store. These programs are what they call reportable. If the NAPA store meets minumn volume requirements. Then NAPA rewards the store by making up part of the $ it discounted.
On some lines we actually sold at break even or pass through …. with high volumn we made more money. i.e. tier level sale on end of month total sales volumn. That’s where some store owners get lost in “what”…….well I think you get the picture here.
Got a little carried away on this.
BTW…..NAPA… appreciates your business and has given free goody bags at both PC rallies.

Mark,
So you’re back in the south… I just saw you a few days ago, we were having fun at Nashville, right?
Post some pictures if you can…

Mike, we tow an 05 Dodge Dakota 4×4 and put transfer case in neutral and transmission in park.

While there are motor home conversions built every year the number is relatively small compared to seated coaches and maybe even entertainer shells. So for Prevost to opt to build a shell designed for a great deal more towing capacity and tongue weight they would really be doing two things. First, they would spend a considerable amount of time and money to develop a shell for a very small percentage of the market. If we go to 50 coach rallies we might see one coach with a heavy trailer. Most motor home owners tow 4 wheels down because hauling a trailer is a real problem for motor home owners because few campgrounds are really designed for them.
Then Prevost would be faced with going back to a situation that they just worked themselves out of. Our shells were unique and now Prevost has essentially made the entertainer and motor home shells the same. If the motorhome shells were modified so the small percentage of owners could add a motorcycle lift or tow a heavy trailer Prevost would be right back where it was when they were making three different shells.
There is no doubt some owners would like to have a greater towing ability. But the percentage is likely relatively low so unless the cost was very high Prevost would never recover the investment for development.
And that still leaves the problem of buyers of used coaches still not able to tow what they like due to limits unless they got lucky and were able to find one with the heavier towing option. As a buyer I would see the option as a very bad thing because I don’t need to tow excessive weights and I would look at a coach equipped like that as being run really hard and to have potential transmission issues or issues from a differential that was run very hot.

Hear we go again, a LIBERTY. You would know they couldn’t be like the others, oh no.
Kind of like useing a Macintosh computer or a rotaryl dial phone, aeh Jon.
Thank goodness my CC is just a plain old coach.

That sounds awesome! Unless you don’t need the extra floor space, you could put the guest quarters above workshop.

We had a 50 Ford when I was a kid. A very very young kid. I remember one time my Dad took the back seat out, went to a farm auction and bought a calf and brought it home in the car. Great memories.

Bill,
Just go to diagnostics, then select engine and any codes will be listed. Mine had two that were “inactive”, so I cleared those.
-
Agree, John in Jax told me how to bypass it and just connect as orginal and everything went fine with no more codes thrown. You would think they could have come up with a better solution than this harness and sensor that is prone to fail.

Dale,
Your inverter(s) are your house battery chargers. If you are dry camping the only way you can keep the house batteries charged is to run the generator. (Or run the bus engine)

Al and Jdub,
If I read the thread correctly you guys are the lead on OKC. I’m unsure as to what needs to be done for the non rally but if I can lend a hand I am happy to. Just holler.

I must be the luckiest first time Prevost buyer who bought from a private owner. Jeff’s shop is something like 18 miles from where the seller had the bus stored.
Jeff has a great shop and all the right equipment. When he explains something to you about a Prevost, you can tell that he certainly knows of what he speaks … as in been there, done that.

Go to Prevost’s web site. You can get all their manules with part numbers for you bus specific to year and model. Also, have found Prevost top end to deal with when trying to find a specific part through their parts desk!

Gil:
They have resurrected all of the cars and now they say museum visits are up ten fold… Some marketing campaign as GM is undertaking all restoration work to return them to show quality..
Looks like KOA may be the best choice in the area..
