Jim Sheppard: has a system available. for engine compartment. He does seminars to busnuts groups. Might be a good discussion to revisit here. Jon has had a costly fire. and I am rebuilding a Fire damaged shell. Both in rear Engine area. Put Fire causes in search box at top of page there are some pictures of my coach fire—-a system like Jim has would have made this a minor event… Bob

In your case your stuck!! with what you get— get biggest best they offer=warranty service(very long very long)=prevost =glitz starpower… Pretty blunt opinion of modern advances… I would ask some one like Tom on BCM in the trucking industry for the straight scoop… That have them running in revenue service over the road with history… torque just don’t apear out of thin air without a $$$ cost in the future…hp is mythical…ya just got to do the work. turn the wheels..My poor taste though of the day. bob
Is not the engine MFG the bus builder when you get down to who actuall own who??

We will be leaving sometime the end of May once are Son’s kids are out of school as they will be going with us in their camper. We will be going by way of the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and then up through CA, OR, and WA. Will be staying west as much as possible and then will catch the Cassier Hwy up to the ALCAN just west of Watson Lake. Once we leave Alaska to return, we will probably take the ALCAN from start to finish and come back into the US in Montana. That’s a short version of how we plan to go. Even though communication is sometimes lacking, we should stay in touch and meet up somewhere once we both have a better idea of where we will be and when. Not than many Prevosts up, we should recognize each other.

Welcome aboard the PC Yank! The PC is a GREAT group of people very experienced and willing to help out. I live an hour and half from you. Spend my summers from Pensacola to Lanark Village catching up on some R&R and playing country music at any place that will let me! Retired from commercial/residential construction. Volunteer full time for my wife at her media center in a elementary school during the school year. Hope to see you around sometime!

One of our members sent this to me today, good timing for this topic…
Lately I noticed that many of the major truck stops had a Biodiesel fuel, B5 -B20, warning on their pumps. My son and I started changing my fuel filters at 2,000 miles because of the contamination we noticed when we did my usual 6,000 mile interval. Last month he had to change his filters(on the side of I-40) on his Volvo rig after only 5,000 miles.Cause – dirty Bio fuel he picked up at a Citgo truck stop outside of Tampa.I spoke to Detroit Diesel in Ocala. They suggested I try to avoid Bio on my 2005 series 60. Ford advised me that if I had a problem with the injectors on my 6.7 diesel as a result of Bio diesel that contained greater than B5 that my warranty on the fuel system would be voided…Ford’s diesel owners manual stated the same as the dealership. -
If you have lots of coin to drop, look at a Powerhouse coach steerable enclosed trailer. Nice, but pricey to say the least.

We are having way too much fun. Today was an openb day so we shopped for tools and hung around together and got silly.
Tomorrow and Firday we have intense Prevost seminars and evening dinners and entertainment. And coaches are being sold.

What happens when you raise the tag axles and let it set overnight?

That is probably a DDEC 111 if you have the diagnostic request switch
Turn the ignition on
depress and hold the diagnostic switch
the codes will flash red -sel yellow cel
code 13 is active and 21 is inactivecode 13 is 1 flash short pause then 3 flashes a long paluse 2 flashes a short pause 1 flash that is code 21
It can be a major pain flashing the codes and and reading them as there are a bunch you know anyone that has a Prolink ? that is the easiest way some dealers will do it for free and some charge
good luck
