On our bus, the signal to the speedo goes though a small controller in the steer bay that is used to drop the tag axle above 15 mph if you still have it up. When our speedometer stopped working, that’s where the problem ended up being. I even recorded the signal coming into the speedo with an analog recorder and it was getting pulses, but the failed tag controller must have been attenuating the signal enough that the speedo didn’t pick it up. Just something else to check. Our speedometer gauge is made by VDO and is programmable.

Thanks, Jon. There is no wobble at all in the get box and since I have found the o-ring for the dip stick she is very dry.
I did put grease last weekend after I parked after an extended drive. Looks like I put in too much. I will keep a watch on this.
Thanks again, Jon.

Is that a bus air coach? Also does this have both 75 amp and 270 amp alt

Good Morning Jon: Yes it is indeed a series 60 and even with OTR. The chassis is a September of 1994 build Engine serial # 06RO145096. Per Prevost that is when they switched.

We think we found the reason why our coach does the “Double Burp Fuel Back Splash”. I have only put fuel in the coach 2 times since our purchase in November 2017. Both times in the drivers side with the same unpleasant results.
In July we ordered the “Product Improvement of Spillway Use” kit #032413. When we received notice that the kit had shipped we began some fuel tank disassembly. When we got to the “filling hose adaptor assy.” on the drivers side we found that the OEM rubber flapper (kind of a check valve) on the filling hose adaptor was lodged in the adaptor and couldn’t operate as intended. That answered our question as to why our coach back splashed so vigorously when we put fuel in that side.
Just finished installing the “kit” yesterday. We’ll try refueling again in a few days.

Thanks.
The 80 foot pull-throughs at Sam’s Town look tempting.

I am not an expert on inverters nor do I know anything about the variety of them used in our coaches, but I used to open up my Freedom 2500 and when shore power was supplied to the inverter it energized the charging circuitry and I seem to remember power went through a Potter Brumfield relay.
Based on your description I can easily imagine a relay getting a little cranky. Open up the inverter and see if it has a couple of relays and if so it couldn’t cost much to replace them. At their presumed age they could easily be at the end of life.

This site is the best. I looked in my Prevost Maintenance Manual and did an answer.

MemberJune 18, 2018 at 11:38 am in reply to: PC Maintenance Seminar #5 – October 12 -14, 2018We are and have been deep into preparations for the October seminar. This one is going to be the best ever and because we are making some changes to how we present some topics we can handle more attendees than in prior seminars.
But the seminars fill up fast so if you would like to attend get your name on the list.
This is ideal for newer owners of coaches, those contemplating the purchase of a coach, and those wanting a refresher to add to their existing knowledge. We intend to cover all vintages of coaches as well as slides. Once attendees are locked in we will find out what coaches are going to be represented and will make certain those are covered.
We also have some industry experts participating so we will cover a lot of very interesting topics in detail.

Ron do you have a Vanner Monitor too? If so, do you know how old the Vanner Monitor is? I had what we believe to be the original Vanner Monitor from 1999 catch fire and melt down a few years ago. What a mess. Luckily some melted wiring and melted air lines was the only additional damage. While you’re replacing the Vanner Equalizer, consider replacing the Vanner Monitor too if its older.
