Total Vision rear camera system
I have been looking at a few different rear camera systems and I like the Total Vision pan and tilt system with the half dome on the rear, the only thing I don’t like is the price. It says the MSRP is $1885 but when I called they said buy dirrect from them is $995 ouch, the other camera systems are going to be $500 so I’m trying to talk myself in to it. The system is awesomethe clarity and the field of Vison is incredible it will go 180 degrees in both dirrections and look down at tow bar and see if lights are working on bus. Anyone know anything about this system? On vacation I saw 2 new Prevost an H3 and XL both with the Total Vision and I’ve got friend with a 06 XL that has it. Rod at Total Vision said they install the 1st one in 2000. http://www.totalvisionproducts.com/

They are fantastic units. I have had 3 coaches now with them. I did an upgrade on my 2008 Legendary to the newer camera. It made a big difference. Rod is great to deal with. Get the best monitor you can to go with it as the monitor also makes a big difference in quailty.

Total Vision is great. I installed one in my previous 03 Liberty, and my current Royale had it from the converter. I upgraded the camera in the Royale. I could no be happier. Rod is great to work with.
Note that if you do an install, it requires getting a cable from dash to camera location. Doable, but work.

I have had my camera 3 years and love it. The performance is fantastic. You won’t regret the purchase.

What’s the best and easiest way to run a cable from dash monitor to rear camera for the Total Vision camera setup ? Run it inside the coach interior or under the coach in the bays or does the plastic pipes underneath run all the way or are are they just inlet and exit grommet’s. Any good ideas before I receive the package?

Upgraded our ’03 Liberty to the Total Vision last year and couldn’t be more pleased; it is worth the money.
ETLC (Jeff) installed mine and couldn’t tell they were even in the coach when finished.

What’s the best and easiest way to run a cable from dash monitor to rear camera for the Total Vision camera setup ?
I have had the best luck running wires in the ceiling. Light to light, along side ac ducting etc. You have to get creative. Every coach is different.

Installed the Total Vision Rear Camera and monitor It is awesome works as good as said. It’s got a couple of presets on keypad 1 of them says hitch, hit button and it points down to perfect view of the tow bar to see if everything is ok then there preset is where you want it to be, tow car and behind, and then it will go 180 degrees in any direction and back to normal position with a push of a button.

How did you run the Cable.

Ran the cable straight down thru the floor by heater ducts and in to 1 of those plastic pipes Prevost puts under front goes to rear bulkhead removed red cap and pulled cable to rear then tied cable up where all the other lines run over side of trans into motor compartment around passenger side up by 24v disconnect around to rear by pressure regulator for engine belt air bags then up into rear of closest to camera. It took me about 1 1/2 hours. I found when you put it in reverse red lines with numbers come up just like the old monitor for distance
