Tom, don’t be shy. Tell us more about them compared to Lifeline, and why you have selected them.

    Coleman / Cruisair?

Are they roof units or splits? Cruisair is now owned by Dometic who also sells/markets roof units.

What Tom said. Right now those qualified insurance companies are having a field day because competition has been diminishing and they are charging like crazy for the coverage we need.

Double check your coverage to make sure your coach value is completely covered and that you are not giving up the protection you think you are getting. An ACV on a recently purchased coach is likely less of a risk of getting short changed because with a recent purchase you have a bill of sale proving the value, but you can bet the insurance company is going to use depreciation as a reason to come up with their interpretation of value.

I know better than to ask Di handle bus duties. If I even tried she would get a big stick and beat me about the head and shoulders.

As far as the coach you referenced, I don’t have any personal knowledge of it, but a couple of observations: It has the combo washer/dryer, which does not work well as a dryer. Also, the “whole house” AC unit is very noisy. Our friends have a Featherlite with the system, and it is noisier than the generator. A coach that vintage will not have Prevost-installed slides, most likely they were installed by Featherlite. You can read up on the Prevost/non-Prevost slide discussion to see if that is an issue for you. As far as the dealership goes, our friends bought their Featherlite from Chad at Premium Coach, and they were pleased with the dealership.

Before any move, be sure to do a Carfax to see at least where this bus may have lived if dealer hasn’t told you. We are seeing “flood cars” from our recent hurricanes pouring into the car auctions. Also recently had an employee buy a suv without checking a Carfax and we found it loaded with silt. RVS aren’t immune to natural disasters. Buyer Beware!
