There is a torque value, but I cannot remember where I read it. It might be with the filters which is why I can’t find it.
The purpose of that value is to prevent stripping the threads on the aluminum transmission case.

I am about 2 weeks in with the T-Mobile tower and am very pleased except this past weekend when I was in a small town that had very poor cell service.

Thanks for the writeup – I’ve got the same issue.
After removing the bug screen I was able to poke the cover with a broom handle to get the cover motor to behave. Now considering better & permanent fix.

I looked at the pictures I have of the unit behind the refrigerator, it appears to be sitting in a separate drain pan. The pan has rubber feet that sit on the plywood under the unit, I am not sure if it is attached to the plywood, but I assume that it is. That is what makes me think it is a separate piece.

Hey Rich,
You did not mention what coach you have if H, XL, XL2, etc. But to answer you question yes you can. I have an XL chassis, 93 Marathon and I have removed and cleaned both driver and entry door windows. Also there are many threads here to assist, just search Foggy windows. But fairly straight forward, the windows can be taken completely out via screws on the inside around the window frame (on an XL chassis not sure about an H or XL3) or you can get a silicone cutting tool and remove them from the frame. Also you can search youtube for some videos on the process. Their are kits available with rope silicone in various thicknesses for sealing the two windows back together. The below link is from Amazon but you can more than likely find the kits via other sites.

Let us know how it goes..

Folks,
All valid points and really appreciate the pointers. I was not aware of the CC proprietary and comingling of hose and chassis. I will need to do some more research on that subject.
I think based upon the discussions and knowledge base here going on engines, I am being swayed toward the Series 60. I am sure that will limit me on some good coaches, but having good mechanics for a 20+ year old engine is a must.
So given this data, our must haves can be narrowed down to just two items:
Series 60 and H3 or XL
Preferred XLV riveted with no slides or H3, OTR air or roof top units, and lastly good maintenance records
Thanks for the help.

Bus-Kote by Nation Wide.
Had clear coat, sanded it with 120 grit. They say you can sand but don’t need to. I did it anyway -
Apparently was caused by duct tape…

I would like to replace the Thomas 12 volt air compressor located back of the front bumper in the spare tire compartment with a California Air Tools 2010A 110 volt compressor. Where do I get or mount the 110 volt plug in and the On/Off switch. Hope someone has done this before. Thanks in advance. Darrell

We have 8 house batteries which are due for replacement. I’d like to reduce the number to 6 to cut down on front axle weight. Is there an issue in doing that or will I be opening a can of worms? We run “pole to pole”, don’t dry camp much and run the generator a lot. Thanks, John
