  • REMOVING LIBERTY CLOTHES DRYER

Posted by joel on November 21, 2023 at 4:12 pm

Need to remove clothes dryer from coach for repairs and having difficulty figuring it out. I haven’t called Liberty yet but I figured some Liberty expert here (are you listening, Jon) might be able to tell me.

The dryer appears to be mounted on a shelf and I have removed two bolts which appear to go through shelf into base of dryer. Still in tight. Anybody?

When I gutted my 1984 Liberty, I was amazed at how creative they got in adding fasteners in places that seemed (and in some cases even were) totally inaccessible. Are there any trim pieces, hinges, shelves, etc. in the the adjacent spaces that a screw head could be hiding behind? I would expect one or more screws to be coming into the side of something that big.

There are two more bolts behind the access panel between the washer/dryer.

Pull the access panel off and look up to the right and to the left. They are in the corners.

Right on with the two bolts behind rear access panel. It is also easy to access the power cord and vent hose through panel. I had to remove the panels surrounding the dryer which were caulked to the dryer in order to get enough clearance to remove. They will not be reinstalled as I wound up destroying them; no issue for me. I removed outside cabinet door also but you may not have to if you remove panels first.
