Austin Hicks (GM/Partner) at Olympia Luxury Motorcoach in Murfreesboro, TN installed a battery cutoff switch in the engine compartment when installing the baseplate for our Blue Ox system. We have never experienced any transmission codes, battery problems or towing issues in the two + years since this work was done. Highly recommend.

FYI – we’ve traveled cross-country (coast to coast) four times and nearly 20K miles without issue.

    Mike,

It’s one or the other. The generator will override your shore power always.

In all the years running in hot weather only 1 time have I ever thought about running the 4th a/c when parked on shore power.

But if your parked in a place with marginal power in the heat of the day I would not hesitate to run my Gen instead of shore power so I don’t have to worry about managing power.

The passenger side engine door should have the diagram for the battery cables. If not I am sure it will be found on the Prevost Car site in the appropriate service manual.

It doe not matter who converted the coach because chassis batteries are strictly for the chassis and I have never heard of a 3 battery Prevost installation.

What you should end up with is all 4 being in series and parallel so you have 2 sets of 24V and 2 of 12V with the Vanner equalizer maintaining the 12V charge.

Hi all, since we obtained our 1995 H3-40 Featherlite Vantare, my wife wants a propane burner which we had in our Safari. The Featherlite came with a 2 small electric burner, can’t even fit a big pot for corn cobs due to the inset electric burner. I will have to reduce the height of the bottom of the cupboards and will need to install a vent either in the roof or side wall.

Has anyone made a conversion like this?

    Thank you Rudy!

It might be worth the price.

Sometimes it takes awhile to get into Houston and head north.
