Dawn Soap or Rectorseal?
I’ve always used liquid Dawn and a spray bottle to find air leaks, I was looking through old post about that and one post said Dawn is not great for finding leaks it said Rectorseal leak detector 8 oz bottle with dabber?? Is this the best way to go??

This is what I use, it is what Jeff Rosenthal and many others recommend.

I also use their spray product for areas that are difficult to get the dauber on.

What makes the Rectorseal BETTER BUBBLE so much more effective is the fact it applies in almost gel form and clings where you put it which allows you to return and check fittings 15 – 20 minutes later to find all the small leaks that cumulatively add up to “big” leaks.
I buy and use the 8 ounce because its dauber allows precise application, and use the 32 ounce as a refill.
Cannot imagine you not experiencing great appreciation for this inexpensive product. Good hunting!
P. S. – google dawn and you will likely find it can be corrosive

Think you will be more than pleased with its performance / value.
Just don’t forget to re-check fittings even 30 minutes later to find the SLOW leaks.
