Al, some of these are so long and wide they take all of navigable waters in some of the turns. In many cases, they are not detectable by raday. AIS is a real plus, if not a must have.

    Dean,

We owned a triple slide Beaver before we bought our Liberty Coach. We were thrilled to be SLIDE FREE at last!

Since we liked to spend extended periods of time in “travel mode” the absence of slides was a significant advantage to us. We were just as comfortable at a fuel stop or rest area as we were in the most elegant resorts.

    Happy shopping!!

I got a call from Jordon at ISC. They received my inverter yesterday and found a burnt wire. He also thought the board needed to be replaced and the total cost would be about $350. I got a call half an hour later. After replacing the burnt wire Jordon fired up the inverter and everything checked out ok. Total cost 1 hour labor $80.You can bet your bottom dollar they’ll be getting my business again should the need arise! Taking the inverter out of the coach was easyer than I thought. Rick

The tire that blew out on the church bus was the left front and according to an eye witness that was immediately behind the bus, as soon as the tire blew, the bus headed into the median which was fairly deep at that location, and still carried the momentum to bring it through the cable guardrail and into the oncoming traffic on the opposing lanes of I-40, both vehicles were in the slow lane.

They will be trying to reconstruct the accident to determine if speed or mechanical issues contributed as well as checking the driver’s qualifications.

    Cathy & John,

I am still working but out on an extended trip with the family and we are using a Verizon 4g mifi. I have a wilson electronic signal booster that marathon is installing perminately on the roof this week in FL. We have been on the road for just about 4 months now and I have been to 2 parks/resorts where the campground wifi was acceptable for my use… so I pretty much use the mifi everywhere we go including down the road. We have been to some pretty remote spots but with signal booster we have not been without 4G service yet. I have the 50 gig share everything plan and it’s been great for us.

    Hope that helps.

Well that did not ring the bell I hoped it would.

    I thought I might reconize the combo-mfg.

Besides the open procedure I gave above, some

(3 wheel) combo just turn 3-2-1 like a padlock.

was the combination you recieved on some form or just a note?

    I found a tel3 for Conceal-a-safe 714-892-1040

Jon, before my first post , I did just exactly what you said and did see the rod and the end of the cylinder screwed to the chassis. That limited access sent me posting here hoping for something better. And noticed on another thread that Tom posted a picture of his cylinder laying out on a bench. So I’m hoping to hear some magic from Tom.

Thanks for the idea of isolating the floor with a valve. At this point we can manage it as is. The otr air system doesn’t even know it’s there.

Gil, we are at Pohick Bay Regional Park, actually in Lorton, Va. It is the closest to Alexandria (daughter) we could find.

I am too naive to know “electric air pressure switches”. But did replace the double solenoid valve that controls air pressure to the slide cylinder a couple years ago, and know that it is not leaking now.

I’m not familiar with the “vent hole”. Can you tell me more?

The only time my Liberty WatchDog had a hiccup was related to the ribbon wire connection.

Bill Daugherty talked me through a brief test and afterward suggested that I unplug and reinsert the ribbon wire plug. Apparently over the years the contacts had gotten just dirty enough to inhibit a proper connection.

Luckily for me, this simple procedure resolved my issue. Bill is without a doubt the single most experienced person I’ve met regarding the Liberty Watchdog system.

He seemed to know the details of my bus as if he had just built it the day before….

Prevost is where I would take mine to be checked out. Not far from you in Lewisville. Anytime you take your coach in to Prevost for whatever reason they hit the lift and check everything underneath. Gives me piece of mind.

It sounds like you are on the right track. I assume the connections are all compression fittings and may have a flexible seal inside each collar. If so I have in the past removed the compression fitting and on trying to reinstall had difficulty getting a good seal when reconnected. It might be a good idea to have a new fitting available just in case.

Gotta cut Jon some slack…I am sure he has been very busy checking out how his fuel mileage is doing on this trip. I hope he has good news when he gets back…

    Ben,

There are toilet plungers that are like a large diameter bicycle pump.

Unlike what we traditionally think of as a plunger with the wooden stick and big round rubber half round cap on the end these plungers have a multiple end configurations that can literally fit into and seal in the toilet outlet, then pull back on the handle and push down hard and the device pumps water or air into the toilet discharge.
