Ditto what Joe said, once the lid is open, assuming it was stuck, put some Silicone on the seal so the lid will open and close freely. The way it works, is once the motor lifts the lid, there is a small switch under the lid that makes contact and turns the fan motor on. That switch also needs some Silicone.

I’m not sure how many they converted in total, but Custom Coach did do some Prevost conversions. We have 1 at our shop.

Laser cut peel and stick acrylic behind peanut-style wheel covers adds ‘style’ and uniqueness while making it easy to keep the wheels clean and shinny.
This is a photo of one of the wheels on the original Grizz Marathon XLV.
We used a plastic wheel protector for a pattern (the disc used when removing and installing the nuts).

Debi Boies and I started PNP.
Until I used my plane to bring her and her husband Bob a rescue Dobie I had no clue there was such a ned to save animals from being killed. They call it euthanasia, putting them to sleep, etc but they are being killed in alarming numbers just because people won’t spay or neuter, mostly in the south. Yet in northern states there are people willing to adopt rescues but to get them from the south up to new homes is tough.
They traditionally have moved animals via car relays where volunteers pick up animals at prearranged locations drive them for an hour or two and transfer them to another car they meet which does the same thing. The relays are tough to set up, are very stressful for the animals and take a day or two. The logistics are a nightmare.
So I started carrying animals in my plane. Debi knew the rescue side of the equation and I understood the aviation side. I could pick up a load of dogs (as many as 24 at one time), and in a couple of hours deliver them to a rescue that would get them adopted. The same trip, if it could be set up might take 10 or more legs by car and take a day at the minimum.
Once Debi and I had the process worked out we created a web site, became publicity hounds to get the word out that we needed pilot volunteers (hence articles in almost every TV outlet and print media publication) and we were off and flying. I “retired” when I sold my plane, but Debi continues working hard to this day. She says PNP now has over 4000 pilot volunteers.
As soon as she reaches 10,000 pilot volunteers she is going to eat a raw oyster.( Debi and Bob, along with Roger and Micki and me and Di created the first oysterfest.)

I like your math Buddy.
I know exactly what I am going to do with my new found riches while Tom fritters his away on that new 4 slide H, I will be cornering the market on Lennon Sisters 8 track and cassette tapes. I see a big future in resale of those tapes.
My only question is how come anytime I review the financials I never see any dues shown on the sales side of the income statement?

Bill,
$3400 seems a little extreme. I don’t know all the facts or options you have. Maybe removing an air operated and going to electric could climb to that number.
If you have a Microphor air or electric I have rebuilt and replaced parts in both. Air operated has more issues due to leaks that show up over time. Moister is the enemy in the AUX system causing stress to air components.
Parts are available for Microphor although expensive sure beats replacing a complete unit.

I have had a XL and had leaks on the roof to vents to the window seals , I had the air horn leaking on my XLll dripping down and sometimes would follow air line down into steering bay or down front of windshield or drip right down on top of drivers chair that’s when I found it took pot light out and could see up in there and see it leaking !!! Sealed it all up and all well now!!! Also you should check panels on the XLll in between the windows those can also come loose the ones above the rivet process , I have seen those panels come loose too right where the window and panel meet , prevost will shoot locktite in there and re glue the panel , or take the hole panel off and clean it up and redo the hole skin , that’s a big job and can cost up to 20,000 per side

I think we can probably put this 10 yr crap to bed. It just doen’t apply to Prevosts. Instead of trying to educate anybody….just tell them it’s a 2006 or up….no one other than us know and it beats trying to explain anything to high school kid on the phone. Geo. PS the only crappy looking Precosts I’ve seen lately were at Lon’s after the fire.

Think it was $163 fronts, $147 rears and $119 tag. Sales ends on the 1st I believe.
Jeff as well as others told me Prevost was the cheapest place on the bags so just went ahead and got em. Shocks were $39 (rears). If I don’t have any work taking me back near Jeff’s soon I will try and knock them out when I find downtime off the road but figured I would buy them now while on sale.

Nope … won’t be scared away. As in many areas of life, knowledge about the product you plan to purchase is a key. I wasn’t aware there were so many members here and it’s great there’s a network which possibly offers well-maintained coaches before they hit the market.

My tags would not come off the ground so i shortened the attachment points on the chains that connect the tag axle to the lift chambers. Just don’t make them to short. To check with the tags level up see if you have any slack in the chains. Make sure when the tags are down you have slack in the chain.

All other circuits are fine……..
…….. replaced the ‘bad’ GFCI plugs………..tested the wiring for power while I had the plug off…….nothing there.
Surprised there is not some breaker/ switch/ or other connection that is not marked ‘microwave’…..??
Of course, it may be there if/ when we find it, eh?
Just a matter of time, I hope……..someone has been here before.
Thanks much………Ol’Ben
