    Will,

Don’t forget the front behind the bumper up high where the coolant lines are located for the dash heater core, likely shut offs located there. Also, assuming you have heated hot water from the engine, there will be 2 valves there as well and that may shut off the coolant flow to the coach heat exchangers depending on how it’s plumbed.

between rad and bulkhead reach in should be two gate valves to shut /coolant off past the engine. Open rad door left side toward front 2,valves return and supply . Will isolate engine from rest of coach.
must reach in. will not affect engine.

    Hi Dick,

I bought it from a private party and fist saw it on Craig’s List. I’m really quite surprised you don’t know all this? Especially since I put the entire transaction on your credit card! BTW I got my North Carolina plate on Thursday and you may have guessed it by now… Yep, Your card!

You’re a great guy Dick, I’ve always said that!

    I love you man,

Do you add Freon in liquid state? I’ve always heard gas. For any of you folks that have hoses on your cruisairs, Fred and folks sell a braided hose that will sure take a leaky hose out of the equation. Had AC hoses installed on front swing out ac in mine and after a few years that R22 found a way to get out. Wish you could replace the stems on the kingvavles without having to solder a new one in on the back 2 in mine. One leaks at stem. Can’t snug it any more.

    I agree!

Regardless of the age of your Prevost, this site caters to Prevost enthusiasts from all walks of life. Once a forum, open to all, allows RV resorts who discriminate, based on the age of your coach & not the “condition” of your coach, they lose sight of what they’re trying to protect in their resorts.

I view this as other kind-of forum/club. If you own a Harley and go to a Harley ralley, they don’t ask the age of your Harley. Maybe it doesn’t translate exactly and, yes, RV’s generally depreciate over time, but from my travels over the last 18-months into every kind of RV park, I’ve yet to see a Prevost that looks like it’s from the Clampets.

I have level 2 service done at Prevost on my way home after a long trip regardless the number of miles I drove. I think what is recommended by Detroit is 10K mile or every year.

Saying “full strength”, I meant what came out of your bus the first time. Beyond that you were diluting it more and more. I should have been more specific.

Yes the wires were that way when I got the coach. And as for jewelry, as long as I can keep my nose ring!

Those are the Vanner equalizers that ensure that 12V devices don’t just draw from the lower two batteries. Usually pretty bullet proof. Ignore for now and focus on batteries.

As others have said, be sure to mark the battery cables, don’t wear a watch, no gold chains and insulate your wrench. You do NOT want a short. With a little care, changing the batteries is straightforward. And get a voltmeter if you have not already.

    Jim,

Are you sure it is for the house and not the chassis. You are correct in that with the inverters it is redundant and possibly not even going to provide the charging protocol the inverters will.

Remember years ago after trying to get the cruisairs a working on my coach, after I first bought it, took it to a AC Shop in West Texas and service manager said, “We don’t work on Prevost’s or Space Shuttles” Nuff said. If you’re talking about Prevost operation did coach have the manuals with it. I’ve got the Operation manuals, Parts manuals from Prevost that came with the coach as new. The house stuff, good luck. I just started pushing buttons and hoping for the best.
