Ron, I believe your coach will provide the same alerts the monitor will, just using different methods.
In simple terms all the monitor does is tell you via a dashboard warning light of and over or under chassis voltage or if you have an imbalance relative to the 12 and 24 volt circuits.

I have put more miles on not only the bus this past year, but my car also to the point where it has been 20 or 30 years since I had that many driving miles.
Dick is absolutely correct in that merging from an on-ramp is beyond the comprehension of some people. They not only seem unwilling to slam the gas pedal to the floor when it would make the merge easy, they also seem to believe someone in the right of way has to move to the left to let them enter the highway.
I have become a world class bastard in that I just do not move over any more, even when I have an open lane next to me. If drivers are so stupid they do not know how to use the gas pedal, the brake pedal or mirrors to merge onto an interstate I’ll be damned if I am going to make their driving easier. Even when I have a weak moment and move over the morons I am helping seem to go out of their way to irritate me, such as getting alongside of me and then matching my speed for miles before deciding to drop back a little or speeding up.
Since I drive the bus slow, I encounter a different idiot when I am in the car. The problem comes from a different perspective. I drive significantly faster in my car so when I am blasting along in the fast lane it has now become common to have the slow lane drivers who are coming up behind someone doing 1 MPH slower than they are going to jump out in front of me, sometimes way to close for comfort. Then that person who is all of a sudden going 8 or ten MPH slower than me and all the folks behind me maintains his cruise control speed and takes miles to clear the slower traffic.
The bottom line is very simple. There are no drivers any more. There are definitely no drivers that demonstrate an awareness of what is going on around them. They do not respect others. And to a great extent they are in their own little world. That includes truckers who now reside in the bottom of the barrel when it comes to courtesy.
It is kind of scary on our roads today because we already have driverless cars.

Safeco is a Liberty Mutual owned company. They were the ones Explorer sold the book of business to. I got my policy through them, but it was somewhat of a challenge. It took several calls and emails to get my agreed value setup properly. I got it from them because there was nobody else I found that would do an agreed value policy. I got a quote from Miller, but they did not have agreed value so I said no thanks.
I have not had a claim with Safeco, but they told me the same thing about choosing a repair shop. I hope I never have to find out.

I considered an article on slides but to be honest I seriously doubt if it will impact anyone’s decision.
While we try to stress how to go about purchasing a coach the reality is buying a coach is a personal and emotional decision. We all know as owners that the purchase of a coach makes no sense. It is a huge expense and in addition to the purchase price there is the ongoing cost of ownership, but we do it anyway and every day of the week there are others who are going to do the same thing.
And most of the buyers will decide what to buy based solely on that “eureka” moment when they step into the coach and get that love at first sight feeling.
I can assure everyone that all our three coaches were bought because we liked them from a cosmetic perspective and despite our now 27 years of ownership I cannot yet justify any coach purchase. Think about all the folks you have seen with RVs when you have been in RV parks or at rallies. The size or type of RV they have has no impact whatsoever on the size of their smile. The guy with the pop top trailer is having as much fun as the guy with the new Prevost. No matter what an article might say about slides it is not going to influence anyone.

Dick has a good suggestion. Before I replaced any batteries that failed prematurely I would find the reason for the failure. If I were to guess my first thought would be you were using the chassis battery charger a lot, if not continuously.

Its so warm in Wisconsin that we’re concerned we won’t be able to drive cars and trucks on Lake Winnebago for sturgeon spearing through the ice that starts next weekend.
I’m told that around Duluth that temps in winter between 15 and 20 degrees are so warm that water actually melts. Is that true?
