Do you have gauges for all three systems? Primary, secondary and accessory air? If so is the pressure drop you see on any particular circuit?

Corian fabrication manual advises not to use plumbers putty, we use the recommended silicone in all of our installations of any brand of solid surface.

    Peter,

I’ve never had a problem with mine. I don’t ever turn it on until I have at least 60 psi on the aux air.

Sounds like it may be out of alignment.

Also, make sure you have 50 lbs of pressure on the air bags for the engine belts.

Mr. Mark, the explanation for the sale must be found somewhere in the fact, that these Alpine components were a very expensive system back in 2006. Some quick researched earlier today brought up the fact, that this system sold for about $3,000 in those days. And, that does not even include the optional amplifiers.

I exchanged a few emails with the buyer. Apparently, he is very familiar with the system and knows how to go about repairing it. He also informed me that he has a spare head unit. In that case, all he needs to do is to swap out mine for his and he should have a pretty good system.

On the other hand, the fact still is, that this is 2006 stuff and technology has much improved since that time.

But, so what. He is happy and so am I. We both got something out of this deal.

Jon, I have been doing some other maintenance on it today, but I looked at the plumbing and there is a valve inline to cut water supply off, I’ll try that first since that is the easiest to do, good advice about sanitizing, I usually do a flush with chlorine every time before we use the bus.

For our show cars we would spend weeks buffing and polishing our stainless steel grill shells. After all that work we then applied several coats of high quality wax to the stainless steel. The wax filled in tiny scratches and pores, taking the finish up a notch.

Even chrome would be waxed. Extreme – yes, but preping a car that goes across the Pebble Beach podium is an extreme sport.

It certainly would not hurt to wax the stainless on the front of the bus after it was buffed. It sure would make the bugs come off easier.

    Tom,

If your generator has a fuel filter change that first.
Surging is an indication of “starving for fuel” or maybe as David said a
weak fuel pump could be causing the lean condition.
