OTR belts
Has any one had there OTR belts jump off I have had two sets jump off in 3000 miles the last time it burned a hole in wire for clutch on the OTR air because belt jumped off , now need new clutch for OTR air comp, not very good to drive down road thinking the belts might come off and then they might take out the fan gear box belts and then over heat and shut down motor, any thoughts!!!!!!!!

I’ve never had a problem with mine. I don’t ever turn it on until I have at least 60 psi on the aux air.
Sounds like it may be out of alignment.
Also, make sure you have 50 lbs of pressure on the air bags for the engine belts.

I used to have the typical loose belts upon startup. Soaping down all connections and bags, I finally found the 2-way valve above the engine to be the culprit. This valve is used to deflate the engine belt airbags when changing belts. It had a slow leak out the open port.
Unfortunately a replacement valve is $350, so I simply plugged the open exhaust port. Much to my surprise, the belts now stay tensioned FOR WEEKS. A simple low cost fix that is easily undone when one needs to change belts.

I had problem with the OTR belt coming off and squared everything and it still came off so I installed a double belt and it has not failed since.

Most of the time it’s when I am driving at highway speed maybe after I go over bump in road the comp moves side to side and belts come off or one will break, as soon as I turn on key aux air fills bags at back , last time it took 3000 miles to break one belt
