Washing machine
Having trouble with my washing machine, it’s not going in the spin cycle. Can I remove it thru the door or will i have to remove the front windshield? The brand is Asko it’s what Marathon puts in all thier buses. Should I try to fix it or just get a new one since it’s 7 years old.

Just a thought… did you check to make sure nothing was blocking the pump? There is a white door on the bottom front of mine that you can open and clean it out… Kids have left stuff in their pockets and that stopped us cold in the middle of a cycle.
If you think that is it.. I can try to call you tomorrow to walk you thru it.

We had an Asko for our home (since replaced due to reliability issues) and one of the problems was related to the drive belt. Before you remove it for replacement or repairs can you get it to an open area and see if all it takes to get it going is a new motor or belt?

Sid, Marathon will help you right out! I just got a notice that they have a few 2015 Hs that have a working washer!
Love to spend some of that cattle money!

Bill, I had Frank come over and yes there was a hand full of change in there. That also an emergency latch to open the door. Going to call the the ASKO company and see what they say. It washes perfect but just won’t go to the spin cycle. Maybe something simple like a board or belt. When your on the road for weeks at a time you really miss it when it’s not working.

the most used appliance in this bus. I usually do use the washer twice a week. It is vented outside, so no drying issues. Would not want to be without it and do not understand people who would not want one in their bus.

Towels and washcloth go in the dryer every day after showers. Keeps the humidity down and the towels fluffy. Love my 240 volt dryer – outside vented.

We had the same problem with our washer at home. It eneded up being caused by the door latch. Replaced the latch, working fine ever since

John, the problem that I have is that it won’t go into the spin cycle. The door works fine and it washes good as well. Thanks for your input.

Well it looks like I’m going to replace both washer and dyer.(ASCO) Here’s my queston can they be removed thru the front door or do I have to remove the windshield to get them out?

Sid, they should come through the door. Recently installed two Bosch units in our H.

Sid did Asko till you that the issue maybe a problem with the timer board.
I owned 2 laundromats in CA. Most times it is the timer gone south.
I would check with Asko if they have a replacement timer for your unit.

That’s the problem they don’t have replacement parts available for this unit anymore. So since I need to take out the dyer to get to the washer I’m (not me) the repair guy thought it best to replace them both while we were at it! The dyer works perfect so if anyone needs an Asko dyer just get ahold of me. I wont be getting them for about 5 weeks so after that you free to come on by Visalia.

Going to replace my washer and dyer this weekend If anybody needs a dyer let me know. I might be able to bring it to the no ralley in sept. It works perfect. Maybe big Al can use it at his storage shed till he finds his H??

Hey Sid, if it’s in Visalia I would gladly take it off your hands! I usually get by there 1-2 times per month.
I have a combo setup but would like a standalone!

My lovely wife had me take mine out. Said if she wasn’t close to a cleaners that does clothes in a day return move closer. Built a closet in the space for the 5 year old Granddaughter, that she says, let’s us go on weekend trips in her coach. LOL.
