Even if I could, I probably wouldn’t. Without towing anything, I can easily back the coach into its parking spot next to the race shop without any help; as long as I’ve got some daylight.

After a little more experience, I might have some lines painted on the concrete so I can easily know when I square in the parking spot without stopping and getting out to look. I’ve been amazed at how far from “square” the coach can be when I think its “square” in its spot. This is complicated by the driveway not being perpendicular to the race shop. Turns out the corners of the property are not precise right angles. The race shop was built to be parallel to the rear yard line, hence the first couple of times I tried to line up the coach or the trailer (with the Suburban) with the garage using the driveway it didn’t work.

    Some things I learned:

    1. You’ll notice the new concrete narrows on the right side of the property as you look at the picture as it approaches the long driveway. I should have extended that angled new concrete another five feet. I end up with trailer, coach, and Suburban tires over the little corner of grass where the angle closes. I thought I had it calculated correctly, but I should have gone further.

    2. Something I would have NEVER thought of. Both inside the race shop and on the concrete in front of the shop I should have dictated to the concrete guy where to put the cut lines. For nine years I backed the trailer up to the attached garage where I worked on the race car. I had the Suburban almost at right angles to the trailer. I used the troweled grooves in the concrete to know if I was lined up right to left and when I was back far enough.

I could have done the same thing on the new concrete. Cut lines in front of shop centered on each garage door opening about 2″ wider than the tread of the trailer. On the shop floor, cut lines either side of center about 1″ wider than the tread of the race car.

Where the trailer and coach are parked, cut lines that coincide with where the trailer should be and where the coach should be.

But laying that out ahead of time in the first iteration of building a shop and trailer/coach parking ahead of time and getting it “right” would have been a challenge.

Of course I could have put LEDs in the concrete for lining everything up!

Bennetts office in Missoula also told me the dealers that coaches are being purchased from shares this information with the buyers home state. The way I see it, Bennett being the “big guy” in Montana LLC’s for RV’s tells me not to do business with him because I live in Illinois….. That is enough for me..

I just wanted to be sure that as a potential new owner you recognize (as hard as this is to believe) that what we think may not be consistent with what you seek. You just have to create your own set of filters to sort out the opinions and suggestions. Far too often on this site and others all of us forget what we think and believe may not be what others think.

What is consistent however is once you have had that eureka moment and are going to buy your new coach, your focus has to become very practical and businesslike. You are doing your homework and that is the right way to buy a coach.

This is a great group and the collective knowledge is unmatched. Take full advantage of it.

I think the low setting is to prevent the generator from starting every time you get a downward spike in the voltage usage. Which will probably happen frequently and a low resting voltage will happen very infrequently.

    Davy,

Nobody has ever been able to justify buying our coaches, but then again almost all of us would do it over again.

Yep, we hit the jackpot. 4 nights, no rain, low 75, high 80. Gulf was like a glass plate.

Rained some before we got back to Miami.

    Thanks,

The issue with the Prevost schematic is like I said above,,,,, it is not clear at all. I may call Prevost to see if they have any better schematics than online. I like the lamination idea, and the color. We did that in a couple of schools I have attended and it makes tracing much easier.

For those of you contemplating going to the rally I can only say GO GO GO ! Patti and I and Ed and Judy Shea went over to Myakka river resort to for the mini rally there and had a great time. Tom and Nancy were just great to meet and hang with. I also got to pick his brain about my aquahot (i still need help). I am really looking forward to the rally at lazydays and meeting the rest of you folks , assuming you all are going to be as gracious as Tom and Nancy are. Dan and Joe were an added treat. We didnt have enough time this trip to really get to know them but we are really impressed so far. Now, if only Tom could have turned up the heat LOL.

I would leave well enough alone. Why mess with something that works now, when you don’t know what will happen if you modify it? The amount of exhaust going out of the main engine will far exceed anything you will ever produce from the generator. Who knows what the combination of wind and exhaust flow does going down the road?

Mike, I have an H3 Vantare, if you could post a picture of what you are seeing, showing the switch or light, maybe I could help.

Are you talking about the annunciators for each item that light up when you turn they key on, right by the outside temp. Or somewhere else.

Repo laws are different from state to state some states by law require a repo be sold at auction here it is not, the one we got from the bank the guy clean it up drove to the bank and handed over the keys

He had sold a house in CA and was letting the interest from the sale meet the payments on the bus, we all know what the interest rate is on our saving it was costing him his saving to keep up so he decided to part ways with the coach he wasn’t behind on the payments so the coach had to set for a couple of months till he past the due dates

Here there is really no need for repo guys if you don’t pay the law enforcement will do it for you, a big stink going on here in AZ now about that law
