I am looking for a place to park the H3 i am buying. What kind of facilities do they have at the airpark?

You will be better off at Glendale or Deer valley the rent on a 2400sf hanger like mine is 3200 bucksthe a month I am going to sell mine after the 1st of the year the taxes have gotten out of control and so have the rules I have mine rented till Feb to Barret Jackson for Dec and part of Jan, then comes the guys with the real money the horse people with their sales and show

The pilot for Albertson’s told me they pay $15,000 a month for the 8,000 sf hanger 4 down from me to park the Gulf Stream 15 thousand a month is not all bad to park a 40 million plane in though for a bus it is a little steep I think, a shade cover now is over 5000 a month there now

The PO was coming down a mountain and the 60 series was over reving and he engaged the Jakes the 60 series threw a rod through the side of the block about the size of a basketball spraying oil over the hot engine then the B500 started down shifting and destroyed the transmission this is the best we can figure out pulling the info from the engine and transmission and what I was told by the PO

I spoke with the PO and the insurance co the PO said the insurance co shafted him the insurance co said they offered to pay for the fire damage but no engine or transmission damage it wasn’t in the terms of the policy long story short John Deere Credit was the ones that got the shaft, that is who I purschased it from

Is there a good place to look for buses that are for sale by the banks and finance companies?

Just personal opinion but those days are just about over. I am sure there are always repossessions, but I suspect dealers get opportunities to bid on them and unless you are on the list I doubt if you find out in time.

But do you really want a repo? You don’t get to do much of a pre-purchase inspection.

Plenty of repos still floating around I am looking at 5 now,most lending co’s use a dealer on consignment for a few months if they don’t sell then they take offers just remember when you buy direct from a lending company that bus is yours with no recourse or help peroid it’s sorta of like how you took the wife, lending co’s write the loss off after 90 days they really don’t care what a unit sells for after the 90 days .

What seems like a good deal dosen’t always turn out to be such a good deal

I just rid myself of a good deal I thought at the time when I bought it turned out it wasn’t so good in end

A sad case but true I know this guy in OR he buys coaches from widows when the spouse passes on he buys cheap and turns a good profit he has been doing it for years but I cannot bring myself to do that so I pass

I get a look at most John Deere Credit repo’s before they consign to a dealer it helps when your grandson is in charge but I have a agreement with him I do not pass the list on to other buyers

I’d love to find a decent hanger big enough for my bus. I’m also trying to get a Stearman project finished and will need a place for it as well when it’s done.

I have heard the wait at Deer Valley is about a year. The wait at Falcon is five years. There’s a hanger for sale at Sky Ranch in Carefree, but it’s a small T and they want $230,000 for it.

For now, my bus is at RV Hideway Storage on Cave Creek and 101. It’s covered and has power, but that’s about it. If you find someplace and are looking for a partner, let me know. I’d love to get it inside and have a place to park the Stearman.

You maywant to check out Adesa auto auction in Ocala, Fl The third fri each mo is rv repo auction hundread or so units some times a prevost and a lot of JohnDeere

Generally Adessa is only open to dealers. Will someone not a dealer be able to go? And my concern is this is where dealers usually trade among themselves, and on average the vehicles going through the line have bidding last 30 seconds or a minute. Anyone buying a Prevost from an auction really needs to do as much inspection as possible prior to it coming up for bid.

My sources say there will be 4 Prevost units for sale at the Ritchie Bros sale in Phoenix in Feb they pop up at Ritchie Bros often and you don’t need to be dealer to buy

TNT sometimes require you be a dealer sometimes no you need to check their fine print before making a trip to bid with them

The odds of buying a better trouble free unit a good dealer would be your best bet because buying at a sale it belongs to you and a test drive is out of the question

Adesa allows you to go by there days before the auction and you can check stuff out call the old owners or what ever else you can figure out to get info. Dealers buy them there and resell them. Auctions are not for the skiddish but im sure some one with the knowledge such as Jon and Tom have could do well , I have bought at auctions all my life sure i have been stung a time or two , but im sure all of you have tried to roll a hard ten, if it comes in you win big . The more you know the better off you are you can look at a repo and see how it was cared for start them test them try them buy them . There are not aways a Prevost there . I have been to Richie Brothers also , bid are higher there because the public is allowed and tend to think anything at an auction is a bargian. Im sure all of us know a dealer that would help us buy at a dealer auction. But a REPO dealer sale is far better than a dealer auction because the repos from the banks are not as dressed up to hide problums , banks just want out it is not thier personal money going out the door. Hard luck has hit a lot of people in the past few years, there are a lot of bargins at a repo sale.

Sometime and I have ran acroos it before at sales the converters will run the bid up to keep the value up on their conversions auctions are not always on the up and up

I deal with a bank they sell their repos through sealed bids or take a offer and most banks keep a list of repos they have for sale I just bought a Prevost not long ago for a friend from the bank here where I live with no buyers or sellers fee just pay and go
