Where did you get that ? With the coach ? I found mine on the Prevost site but it is hard to read, looks like a copy of a copy.

That is a great schematic you have. I also attended one of the Prevost seminars on air systems but it was directed at the newer coaches and the schematic was good and does give the basic logic about the systems, it just did not have all the part numbers for our coach. I have a service manual for our coach that has the schematic and that is what I use, just not as large or easy to read as yours.

Called prevost and they sent it to me then I colored it in the way the air moves and all the valves!!!!! I think you can get it off there web site to!!!!! Had it scanned then enlarged at office max…. The pic is not very clear here but it is clear as Rocky Mountain water !!!!!!

There are a couple of ways to get a large pneumatic drawing for your coach. Peter has described one way. A second is to go to the Prevost publications page, find the diagram specific to your coach, and go to Kinkos or some similar place and have them print it whatever size you wish.

Another alternative is to blow it up on your computer and print “tiles” and then tape them together which is what I did before the smarter folks on here told me to go to Kinkos.

Hey Robert and Patty,

this is Trina, Peter’s wife and chief color artist! The best idea is to print off the schematic you have on your computer with the “best” print option…take to Office Depot, Office Max, Kinkos or your flavor of printer… They will scan it in and make it as large as you wish…Peter and I did this one 24 x 36 but you can truly make it any size as you could tile it like Jon said…the trouble with tiling is you will have difficulty lining it up exactly and it will take a lot of tape to hold all your pieces flat. As for coloring you have a couple options there…we colored ours before we laminated it, but you could laminate it and then use dry erase markers to color your lines or chase your air leaks… I colored ours first so you know your three lines…and then when we go to chase air leaks we can scratch off with the dry erase what is good or bad…. Much easier to read in the house on paper than try and remember what lines and where when you are under the bus! 🙂

The issue with the Prevost schematic is like I said above,,,,, it is not clear at all. I may call Prevost to see if they have any better schematics than online. I like the lamination idea, and the color. We did that in a couple of schools I have attended and it makes tracing much easier.

Robert, if you need information quickly you can blow up the on-line diagrams, but it will limit the scope of what you can view. It is still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick when you need information fast.

All this “enlarging” stuff is good. I did both. Problem was, even after I contacted Prevost, they were unable to supply me with a very clear diagram for my vintage bus, plus many of the definitions were in French!

Still got it done and available.

Whatt was the file name of the diagram for your bus? I pulled what I think is the right diagram for my 1997 XL40 #6047 but it does not have the ledgend at the bottom (#s and description). The one I have is labeled on the bottom right as

“DI40211 REV.:F AUTOCAR XL40′ AVEC S-50, S-60”

If you have your diagram as a file, I can enlarge and print (and maybe color 🙂 )

the file number for this is D140212….. Mine is a 1996 coach converted in 1997 …. It might work for you?! … #5864. This is good for vin # S-5779 to T- 5868
