Bernie , I bought this trailer a few months ago, I have not tried to load a car until now, just HD’s.
I have owned several others, never a problem like this.I’ll call Cresco tomorrow.

Disconnected Watch Dog by way of ribbon cable. Then moved toggle switch in up position to bypass Watch Dog. Fans did not run. Went to generator. Pushed button to preheat for 20 seconds then to start. Generator cranked over as normal but did not run. It did try to start. Reset both breakers on generator as a precaution. I was able to hold my camera and take photo of squirrel cage behind radiator and it is not running. I inserted camera thru fan exhaust under coach by radiator. How many fans are behind the radiator? Is access thru underneath the coach? Is there a fan belt in the radiator fan area that could have broken? Thanks for your help.

we are here now and came up on road you are questioning. 281/130 south is good two lane road. A little curvy in places but not a problem even with toad. Try highway 11 to I-85 south, nice drive.

You gotta speak slowly, Tom. I’m a doctor, not an A/C tech!
Whats an an evaporator Fan?
I did do a memory reset yesterday for lack of something better to do and didn’t think to mention it because I thought it was not important.

Alan, have known Phil and Joanne for a few years and know how they took care of your new bus. Just spent the last couple days with them at ETLC. Looking forward to meeting you guys.

I thank all of you for your comments regarding storage of a Prevost in the heat. The coach we are considering has laminate cabinets. Concerned about the possibility of delamination with these cabinets.
I had read on another board about owners buying portable AC units at Loew’s or Home Depot and using them to cool the storage unit. Any thoughts? Risks?
Thanks,
Reese

John,
Because of its appearance in terms of showing some care by previous owners I would not rule out the Royale. Pictures do not necessarily show signs of wear and tear, or if it smells like old cigars but the only way to really know if the coach will work for you is to see it in person.
Assuming the dealer has no maintenance history available to you presents a problem for you both. You need some way of knowing you are not going to pour a lot of money into needed maintenance, or you have to adjust what you are willing to spend. He has to prove to you everything is current or he is going to have to reduce the price or watch you walk out the door.
It is not likely a lot of his customers ignore the colors and decor and instead concentrate on the quality of the coach and its maintenance history. I wouldn’t cut the dealer any slack with respect to either producing service records or allowing you to get the coach checked out. If he is not willing to understand the potential costs associated with the lack of records or complete access for inspection he shouldn’t be selling coaches.

One is labeled 12 volt house battery disconnect, the other 24 volt emergency disconnect. Sorry if anyone got confused.

in Jay’s description it is stated this Royale has IFS
A few years ago, when this “lot” had a Beaver Prevost, getting any kind of info was more difficult than pulling teeth out of a chicken.
When I would call, and the response was , he’s really busy, he’s the one with the information. But persistence paid off, when the gal on the phone told me, “I’m not suppose to tell you, but here is the VIN of the Beaver Bus. Which then I concluded it was Bus 3
Dont be too surprised if info us parsed out -
The 12 Volt disconnect kills power to the Techlink, which is usually the culprit of a light that refuses to go out. The 24 volt system should not have an impact, but the tech expert at Marathon Oregon related it’s better to shut it off as well, in case of bleedovers, I guess. Since I’m not a computer expert, I try to listen to the folks who are.

Dave, hop in the bus and go. Forget about letting a listing of 45 foot sites determine when you take the coach.
If we can’t find a suitable RV park there is always a willing restaurant or business that will allow you to park over night. With fuel so cheap it almost makes sense to just run the generator instead of hooking to shore power.
You are self contained so take advantage of the freedom the coach gives you.

Very good advise given so far – especially the Big Rigs book/website.
I also use a website called “rvtripwizard.com” for planning many of our trips. Very versitile and identifies your pritoritized camping parameters along your selected route(s). You can go directly from the “wizard” to a pretty comprehensive campground review site, so you can see what the general consensus is for a cg you may be interested in, and/or directly to the campground’s website for additional info or reservations. Fuel stops, Walmarts (overnite and non-overnite), and attractions, along with a long list of things you can prioritize to suit your own interests are also identified. It also has a trip cost/budgeting feature if you choose to populate the basic data required for the function. You can maintain a large number of trips in your account…both future and historical. All in all, a pretty sweet website, IMO.
One of the things we have found is that a good many campground folks (unless you are staying at a top tier resort) don’t have a clue as to what is important when manuvering to/thru their campground. We always stress repeatedly when we make reservations that we are a 45′ bus – not your typical Winnie or Tiffin, but we still run into problems with low limbs, limbs that are hanging/growing in the lane, very tight turns, narrow cg streets, etc. We’ve on more than one ocasion refused to enter a cg after a long day on the road because I didn’t want our roof line rearranged by low trees or limbs that would customize our paint more than it already is. If there is any question, I walk to the site and leave the coach in the registration area until I’m satisfied I can get in AND out unscathed. Just a FWIW…
And congrats on your pending purchase!! Looking forward to seeing some pics & potentially meeting you “out there somewhere”…
