Our coach came with a Direct TV set-up and receivers (2). On the day of delivery we called DTV and I personally spoke with 9 different people to no avail.

Our tech got on the phone and became just as frustrated. We decided at that point not to have DTV and just use cable and/or the TV antenna. We have some very expensive equipement on the roof not being used because of DTV and their awful customer service.

I just emailed Charles the email exchange I had with Perko. They stood behind their product and fixed mine for no charge.

If they haven’t lost power when disconnected for 48 hours I strongly suspect the current draw is in the coach.

This is unlikely your issue but illustrative of stuff purchasers of used coaches can encounter. On my first coach the House #1 batteries were depleted in a short period of time, like two days, while House #2 remained fully charged. I went nuts trying to trace the load until I found the previous owner had gotten creative and had connected the heater in the Racor fuel filter to the House #1 batteries. It took a long time to find that load because I never suspected a chassis component would be connected to the house batteries.

The wiring was not apparent which made looking for the issue more difficult. Good luck in your search.

HI, Sorry I screwed up your name. Is the condenser fan (right side of bus) running?

Tim, Like Jon said, air compressors die slowly. I think that I have only seen one die suddenly (rod out the side) in my entire 43 year career in the trucking business. the only part that you might think of carrying would be a governor for the compressor, but they seldom fail too. they are small and a piece of cake to change.

I’ve been messaging Andrew Barko at Norgren about purchasing the manifold, its valves, coils, some spool valves, etc directly from them(Norgren).

    Steve and Jon

Do you have the drawings or overhaul manual this air dryer? Any pics how this unit comes apart would help.

We are in Las Vegas NV. IS there a place in this area that sells this type of air dryer?

    George,

It is 513 miles from Foley of beautiful country especially through the Jackson,MS / Greenville, MS areas …and up through PIne Bluff Arkansas into the Hot Springs area. I don’t know if you have ever heard of “DOE’s Eat Place” but the original is in Greenville, MS and was started by a lovely black lady ….and the restaurant was in her old house. She was the originator of a menu that sold steaks (but all steaks were at least 2 pounds… no sharing… mostly Porter House steaks cooked in a pan…) and she was and remains totally famous for her “home made” tamales. She used to pack them in big Folger’s coffee cans…

I been there …and done that !!! ….and would do it again!!!

Now, if that doesn’t get your curiosity up… I don’t know what will…

Hope you can come to the non rally rally as soon as we figure out the proposed dates…

    Michael,

Help me understand the problem. If a CC owner doesn’t have or cannot see the shift pad and hence the gear selected I understand the benefit of having it displayed on the substitute for the failed CC dash (er I mean the replacement dash).

But if you have a gear shift pad visible from the driving position how is a second display going to make the selected gear known any more than the red letters that are so big Stevie Wonder can see them.

The Liberty unlimited data deal is obviously not what they say it is. For the same amount of money, or close to it, anyways, you may want to consider the 22GB LTE data plan offered by Millenicom that I wrote about the other day. I have been using their services in past years and they DO KNOW how much data YOU have used.

AND they would tell you. The Liberty deal sounds great on paper but appears to be very flawed in reality.

Disclaimer: I am not a Millenicom customer at this time. I do have unlimited data with Verizon and AT&T.

As of tonight, I have used 18.9GB on AT&T with 22 days to go and 60.55GB on Verizon with 6 days to go.

September 10, 2016 at 5:47 pm in reply to: Head lights upgrade

I’ve got the same lights on mine, but driving on small secondary roads with a lot of ups and downs and curves this week I found out there is a cut off on the light, apparently so oncoming cars don’t get blinded, but if the coach is going down a grade there is no visibility as the road beyond the dip goes up. The lights are great for the intersate but that feature on mine is an issue I never realized. I had to go pretty slow because it was so easy to overdrive the lights. On high beam all was OK but there was a lot of traffic come towards me so I did not have that option. I suspect the LEDs do not have that upper cutoff.

As a follow up, over the last two months, I refueled at Love’s in KS, SD, ND, WY, & CO without any issues.

However, there is no Profit Tools refueling service station in MT, so plan ahead. They take the fuel card at their truck stops, you simply don’t get any discount thru Profit Tools.
