Ruidosa Motorcoach Ranch RVPark
I have seen other postings on the Ruidosa Motorcoach Ranch Rv Park but just stayed there this past week. It is a fine park with excellent views of the valley… all new and spacious… Jimmy and Lisa Zachry could not be more accommodating … great couple who understand motor coaching… they served dinner for all clients one night… just fabulous environment…. the Elk hollered all morning…
On traveling there, it is best to avoid going through the city which will require a significant climb and decline as well as dealing with the small city’s traffic…there is a route through 220 that they can explain…open about eight months a year… great places to eat and play golf…
Super place… super environment and people…

We’ve been there three times this year, and enjoyed it every time. Jimmy and Lisa are Prevost owners as well, and are super nice. We come up from the east on 380 through Capitan, and we still have a steep hil, but better than going through town. Nothing like seeing 1.5 MPG on the display!

We stayed in slot 26… on the valley view side… no trees but not needed because of the cool weather…
Great view… the directions to travel via 220 are very important if you come from that side…. otherwise, if you are coming from the Ruidoso city, there is a long uphiill climb to traverse which you can easily do but it is steep with the other side equally steep as well… The 220 route is a slow 45 MPH drive but through interesting territory… Billy the Kid lived there… carry your gun… you never know…

We will be there to eith George and Becky if Mira Loma springs us on time. Hope to leave Friday afternoon Chris is flying home the 17th, returning the 20th while me and the dogs babysit the bus for emissions testing shop damage repairs.

Thanks for the road information Pres and the campsite sounds perfect. Weather is predicted highs in the low 60’s and lows in the low 30’s. Billy the Kid country is a great area of New Mexico to explore. I love the history and especially the lack of population. Pres, I don’t know about all Prevost but CC’s come standard with a .45 and an optional pump backup. Tom, I will make sure PC gets a great plug at the Motorcoach Ranch and when I get time I will email you a list of your advertisers. -

Haah!!! No revisions but it’s nice to see you harassing us poor orphans again. It’s about the only attention we get on PC since we have so few problems. I’ m trying to get my head around an air door over backup lights. I know Liberty owners need things like air doors , air powered bed lifts, rose dispensers and the like but I always thought Marathon guys were a little more down to earth.

There is nothing down to earth about any of our coaches. And about that CC having so few problems, remember George the PC rules about shading the truth.

Hey Pres, I think I saw you guys in a park in Roswell, NM this past Thursday. We pulled in late afternoon crab a quick dinner and pulled out real early the next morning in order to catch our grandson football game. I did notice the Prevost decal on the dash. Hope that the next time to stop by and say hi.

We left Houston on Tuesday, the 4th and traveled to a friend’s ranch in Abilene. On the 5th, we went West looking at oil wells and other disinteresting stuff until we finally arrived in Ruidoso….did not make the Roswell overnight stop … did not know there was an RV park there… we had our sights on Ruidoso and I run about 400 miles per day so we kept on going…
Sorry we missed meeting up… we were close….
We will make the trip again to the Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch RV Park as soon as plans allow… You are in a very uniquely pretty part of the country. I am reading the book.”Killing the Rising Sun” and it was so fortunate and timely for me to see the areas in which the atomic bomb was being developed during WW II. It has given the book an unusual dimension for me…

Becky and I just returned from Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch and your description could not have been better. Lisa and Jimmy couldn’t be nicer and their manager Wally is great too. Jimmy is still talking abut you. The air, the views, deer, elk and an evening of UFO’s with Colorado Bus were all highlights for us. I highly recommend this park and the directions Pres posted are spot on. Lisa told us GPS was not reliable and she was right so be aware. The park is 29 of the best sites I have ever seen, all with spectacular views. -
With great reviews like that, we’all add it to our list next summer/fall when we’re out West.

What George P said. RMR even has LP fire tables and at least two steel rocking chairs per site. And the UFO sittings were a spectacle!
