For the record of those brave souls that stayed in Kemah last week… we have continued to have the worst weather in several years … it is about 44 degrees again today and raining… no golf !
Hope you will come again to our area sometime soon. …give it another try…. say in August…I can guarantee it won’t be raining and you won’t have to go far for breakfast because you will be able to fry your eggs on your hood. !

When we were considering the hostile take over of PC we found based on the company books which were so small they really were printed on the back of a business card, that if the PC money was dynamite, there wouldn’t be enough to blow my nose.

Thank you Rudy for your offer of helping me. It is cold here for the next several days and I am not going to be in the cold working on the unit. We are not planning on leaving on next trip til Jan 20 so I have a litttle time to get it going.
A little additional info, although the bus is a 2000, it has only 50,000 miles, less than 200 hrs on gen. It was never actually stayed in, last owner only used it for transportation, actually stayed in motels according to him, he said he hardly ever had the unit on.
Since we have owned it, 3000 of those miles are ours and 175 gen hours are ours. Both trips we were on, we had the Aqua Hot on everyday we were in it, so the unit was on about 18 days, never gave a problem. Exhaust was always normal looking. -
I know for a fact that most cops are aware of the MT LLC here in TX and in LA … when ever there is an FMCA Rally or a lot of RV traffic they will specifically check for the MT plates then check the license plate on the tow car… my advice is… if you want don’t want to pay your due taxes in your home state then you need to register your vehicle in Montana and get a Montana drivers license…. that way you will at least look legal won’t be stopped for that reason.

I really like keeping my bus looking “stock” so I simply replaced the OEM lenses with new ones from Prevost.
On my XL, the assembly in the picture would replace everything – I don’t have turn signals higher-up.

Thanks for the link. Read what was there and was interested until I got to the, “plug it into the cigarette lighter” part. I ditched my cigarette lighter long ago as a 12V power source for my Cobra all in one CB. Now I have to go out to the scrap parts pile or some oldies junk yard and get a new to me cigarette lighter to power the camera. Humm, maybe there is a 12V power source I can use with a USB connection in my new Entertainment unit up front. Think I’ll go check the specs to see if there is any mention of it.

I wish I had invested in Transynd futures back when it was an outrageous $28 a gallon. I would have beat the stock market for sure with that investment.

I was always under the impression driers vented into the gray water tank if they were non-vented.

Yes, Jon, when I bought it EVERYTHING was purple inside, from the blinds to the upholstery to the bedspread and even the rugs. I bought it planning to replace it all, but once we replaced the blinds with ones that were deep chocolate brown and replaced the rugs and bedspread, the purple was no longer overwhelming. It truly was a Barney Mobile as I drove it off the lot in Florida.
p.s.: The interior of my present bus is white, black and gray. I do have purple bedsheets, though.

I’m not sure there is any unlimited sources. At home (only) I can use my comcast internet for all my purposes, including almost endless streaming of movies or TV shows such as Netflix, but when in the bus I am limited to MiFy from Verizon and that has limits.

Thanks all. I was curious because I parked in a campground in Charlotte on pavement & left “my mark” with all eight tires. They weren`t happy.

Nothing is mentioned about generator exhaust extensions to push smoke up over coach roofs. Been to a couple rallies dry camping with all the smoke. For this kind of money you’d think large generators could be used to mitigate smoke.

My first car was a 37 Ford 2 dr. slantback. 60 HP and three on the floor. Mechanical brakes, bulb type headlights. I bought a twin to it years later and even though it was in good shape it was still a crappy unsafe, unreliable car.
Di’s first car and the one we drove after we got married was a 50 Ford 2 DR sedan, V8, three on the tree with overdrive. We drove it everywhere but never realized just how bad it was until we got the car we are now rebuilding. We could not bring ourselves to paint the current one the same color the original was……..robin’s egg blue.
