what did u do to plug the exterior dryer vent? We made our W/D area a pantry but there is just insulation in the hole & it gets wet while driving in the rain.

They put non vented dryers in coaches, does that not create a big moisture concern within a coach.

Some new coaches have a non-vented dryer in them….they do create added heat with in the coach that normally goes out the dryer vent as well as moisture.

Aren’t non vented dryers condensing the evaporated moisture and then it goes down the drain?

If the moisture was allowed to remain within the coach there would be serious problems.

what % of coaches with dryers have non vented units, are they common. Never knew they made non vented condensing units. Another item learned that seems to be real important in my mind.

I think vented would be on the must have list, otherwise the potential for issue’s would seem to be greater.

How much do members actually use the washers and dryers, I read here a few people having them removed to create storage space.

Ours is vented and our our previous coach we didn’t think we wanted them…but everyone is different but we couldn’t live without one… With 5 of us we were doing at least a load a day…. and it was great not to have to go anywhere and lug stuff. but everyone is different… We fulltimed for 15 months and losing the washer dryer would be bad for us.

The lack of a washer and dryer would be show stoppers for us. Also, a non vented dryer would be a show stopper too. We use our dryer every day to dry the towles after showers. When we are on the road several weeks at a time we will do loads of clothes.

I’m not one to use a campground’s washer and dryers, if only for the inconvenience factor.

Heck, we recently paid Jeff to remove a perfectly good Sharp convection microwave and install an outside vented Advantium. Anything that keeps heat and moisture out of the coach is a good thing, a very good thing.

Non vented dryers do run a lot longer than vented and even then, the clothing may come out damp.

So … vented … if you want a dryer.

I was always under the impression driers vented into the gray water tank if they were non-vented.
