Price of transynd?
Bought filters, oil and transynd for upcoming fluid change. Local NAPA guy said he could not get the transynd (hard to believe) and had to get it from o Reilly’s. About $55/ gal in 1 gal jugs. Just curious if that’s about right?

Might check Prevost. Had my fluid changed over last year at Prevost Fort Worth (at 63,000 miles on my 1991 XL) and they used 27 quarts (TransSynd) @$10.52 a quart.
Total for labor, (1.3 hours-$141.70) filter ($51.46) and fluid ($2844) was $477.20 Total. Kinda makes it not worthwhile to climb under that puppy.

I wish I had invested in Transynd futures back when it was an outrageous $28 a gallon. I would have beat the stock market for sure with that investment.

Jon, Hindsight is a killer on investing. With me I take the opposite approach. I like to buy high and sell low.

I buy the Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF (AES-295 ) transynd at my Detroit shop, about $38 per gallon jug….that is about the going rate.
