Since HVAC is left up to the conveter, does the converter, i.e., Liberty, Marathon, etc. always use the same HVAC system or do they put in whatever HVAC system the original owner wants?

T&C, so as you can see…don’t worry about leveling. Unlike Jon, Davy or possibly Peter Campbell you won’t need anything other than HKW and your finger. I do use a 4″x8″ block of wood and a wood step ramp when I’m racing, but only for the trailer. The block for the trailer jack and the step ramp for changing tires on the trailer if necessary. If we’re ever caught in an F-1 tornado like Jon, I’ll just lower it to the bump stops in the bags and ride it out. Geo.

Yes…we have purchased the 2011 Triple slide from Liberty in Stuart, FL. Should get it the beginning of May. They have some things to do to it to make it ready, and some other coaches ahead of ours to deliver, hence the wait. We like the layout and the colors. It has most all of the updates like tv’s and the Winegard HD stationary dish. Also has the lithium batteries and 4 inverters. It is very spacious and has tons of closet and pantry space.
Once Liberty gets done with it, we should have a like new coach.

This is just an observation, but anytime a driver uses his mirrors to judge where he is in his lane he is apt to be wandering all over the lane and over working the steering wheel.
I don’t know how this works, but by looking far ahead down your lane of traffic you end up tracking exactly where you need to be in the lane, and your peripheral vision verifies your position. In my coach, based on where my seat is positioned the edge markings or the dotted centerline pass relative to a point where my windshield post intersects the dash that my peripheral vision recognizes as where I need the coach to be within the lane of traffic.
Hard to explain except to say I follwed a friend who I later found was using his mirrors to judge his position, and he was all over the lane and wearing himself out working the steering wheel.
Maybe others can explain it better than I have.
Apart from using the mirrors to back up I use them to verify what is going on in adjacent lanes of traffic so I know if I can or cannot make a lane change suddenly. Never to determine where I am in the lane.

Check the bits of rubber behind the door handle. If they are missing or compromised, the door handle will not align with the bolt such that the electro magnet cannot overcome the resistance, while your manual pressure with the key does.

Stealing this thread, if you are a responsible driver and stay within the speed limits you really need to keep every shred of data possible including speed. In the event of an accident your speed will be a known and will aid in the calculation of the speeds of others around you. I was told and assume this is not completely incorrect if you have the GPS version with time stamps that the probability it is admissible as evidence is quite high.
My greatest fear is someone cutting in too close and then slowing rapidly such that I cannot help but hit them. The presumption we who are behind someone and thus have to have full control of our vehicles is understood, but if a car pulls in too close, rapidly reduces speed, having the event recorded goes a long way toward showing we were blameless.

Ok, Here’s my take as a Marathon owner, an XLII owner and and owner that has had the change. When Marathon Texas did ours, they did exactly as Tom indicated. Everything was turned off, disconnected for the whole day! in 100 plus heat…. On our XLII, a new bracket had to be made as the new equalizer did not fit exactly as the old. All cables were marked, taped and not one cable touched another nor any other metal. Everything went back together and tested before anything was turned on.
I suspect someone screwed up. I would bypass FLA and go directly to the mothership and start there.

Thanks for the inputs everyone. Many different ideas and all have merit. I do have a heated water hose and will use it. Im still on the fence concerning the webasto. Running it while in the bus is not an issue. running it while away is still up in the air.
Since we have 2 feline friends on board, I plan on getting the best type of space heaters. I think the oil filled rad types would do the trick. No open heat source to spark up.
Being a novice on the bus, I am confused as to where the bay heat, that is mentioned is. I have no idea. Im in an 98 XL and Im not sure if I have it.
I am also soliciting info from the full timers here at the Fort. I found out from a friend with a 5th wheel that making a sectional PVC pipe tube to run the waste tube into. He experianced no freeze ups during the below freezing temps.
I’ll keep ya posted as we go into the winter

Highlands we called it march order in the artillery, but it was the
same nightmare…Doesn’t
matter what conversion you have, the chassis batteries will be the
same. I like the Guest chargers and if you do the new google search
on the forum, you’ll find all kinds of info rather than me
