Cleaned Up the Dash
Recently purchased a new GPS (Garmin RV760) and a dash cam. It seemed like a good time to clean up all the wiring and simplify things. I hardwired everything to one switch on the dash so that I can turn everything off easily.
The ledge between the PressurePro/GPS and the dash cam is where the front shade lands so there is no interference.

Also, I can tell by the wiper blades that you are not driving a Prevost….. and, the mirrors give it away too with the camera on the lower arm.

We too “need” a 4 slide coach and can relate to your desire for your soon to be delivered Liberty.
Althought the thought of a hula girl on the dash would work, I’m holding out for a lava lamp in the bedroom.

I had not seen that particular dash cam. Thank you for posting the link. It really looks like it is about perfect. One thing that I did not see in all the information is how long it will film on a 32G card before overwriting. Keep us posted on how it performs.

Davy, it will hold up to a 256GB card. We went with a 128GB card as that should be several days of recording at High Definition before it begins to overwrite. The feature I like is that if the G-sensor detects “an event”, it will write a file, saving the incident. The GPS function will record the time, date, location, speed, direction, etc.
On second thought, maybe I need to disable the speed recording…

Stealing this thread, if you are a responsible driver and stay within the speed limits you really need to keep every shred of data possible including speed. In the event of an accident your speed will be a known and will aid in the calculation of the speeds of others around you. I was told and assume this is not completely incorrect if you have the GPS version with time stamps that the probability it is admissible as evidence is quite high.
My greatest fear is someone cutting in too close and then slowing rapidly such that I cannot help but hit them. The presumption we who are behind someone and thus have to have full control of our vehicles is understood, but if a car pulls in too close, rapidly reduces speed, having the event recorded goes a long way toward showing we were blameless.
