Jacks
Ok, since some of you said “there is no dumb question”, I’m about to ask one.
Just checking, Prevost has “no HWH Jacks”, right? The coach is leveled by the airbags only? If so, any issues with stability in campgrounds during high-winds, or the ability to “get level” using the airbags alone, or airbags losing air overnight? Do some of you then carry “leveling blocks” to get level in a very uneven campgound site?

T&C, I would guess that most of us do not stay or stop in places that we cannot level within the range of our air bags which is considerable.The bus is not quite as stable on the bags as jacks and you will feel the wind or even walking somewhat. It is minor to the point that after a short time it seems normal. the holy grail is a completely leak free bus. Few of us attain or maintain it completely forever it seems and just when you think you have, you park somewhere where the temp drops alot and find out you haven’t. We are pretty much leak free and the bus will maintain its level for long periods and then change only slightly. A push of a button will correct it as long as it’s not lowered completely. Can’t speak for everyone but I haven’t seen any other owners use ramps or blocks when parked. We don’t carry any and if we’re parked somewhere where the leveling limits preclude being perfect…oh well, it’s only for a brief period of time. Geo.

There is an exception to what George said but you can control it.
Some coach leveling systems are alive even with the key off. I had one like that so I can tell you that there will be conditions when the coach will not be stable.
We were in the downtown St. Louis campground (probably long gone) many years ago and we experienced strong winds. They were sufficient to rock the coach and each time the wind rocked the coach the suspension system would instantly release air from the high side air bags and try to add air to the low side air bags. It did not take long before the bus was sitting all the way down. The aux compressor couldn’t keep up and did not generate enough pressure to raise the front so it was overwhelmed. The point being any system that is live with the key off can fail to keep the coach level.
The winds were exceptional however. They brought down a high electric transmission tower dropping it across I-70.

While I’m on the topic of “leveling” your coach, has anyone added an HWH Active Air System to their Prevost? Not sure if it’s even applicable, but I know they have been added to other bus type MH like Blue Bird.

I hate to stick out like a sore thumb but maybe I am the exeption on this one. I do carry some boards and need to use them occasionally.
I rarely park at a campground but park most weeks in church parking lots. Since I go to real fancy churches in big famous cities like Wartburg, Tennesse, Wilmer, Alabama, Conehattta, Mississippi and Bond, Kentucky I do not always have access to a place that is on solid level ground and close to electricity. I posted this earlier in the week.
This particular church has some parking area that is level but the 50 amp plug is next to a slope. The front tires are on nearly 3 inches of boards the front end is raised with air, my tag is lifted and the back end is down. It makes the bus look like it is carrying a bunch of hicks from the sticks but it works for me.
Maybe my roots are showing.

T&C, so as you can see…don’t worry about leveling. Unlike Jon, Davy or possibly Peter Campbell you won’t need anything other than HKW and your finger. I do use a 4″x8″ block of wood and a wood step ramp when I’m racing, but only for the trailer. The block for the trailer jack and the step ramp for changing tires on the trailer if necessary. If we’re ever caught in an F-1 tornado like Jon, I’ll just lower it to the bump stops in the bags and ride it out. Geo.
