I have a 3 Wide belt driving my Radiator fan, and a 2 wide Belt driving my chassis alternator. No issues for me.

Am I misunderstanding what belt you need? The belt (usually 3 of them or a 3-in-1 belt) that runs from the engine take-off to the radiator fan pulley is not a flat serpentine style belt on any series 60 I have seen.

I am also leaning towards a 40 footer. I’ve only had my H3-45 for 9 months, but my experience has been that some situations would have been easier with a 40 footer. With the right floor plan, seems like you don’t lose a lot in terms of usage.

I was all set to buy a XLII-40 before I got the H3, but the reseller was taking forever to finish up refurbishing the coach, kept telling me it’s only 3-4 weeks from completion each time I checked with them. It was eventually done ~4 months after I purchased my H3.

Not sure why, but American Coach seems to have the bulk of the XLII’s in 40 feet. Although I have seen some Marathons as well, searching old for sale listings. I would prefer a single or double slide, which of course makes this search more difficult. If I were going to settle for no slides, then I’d probably just get a XL instead of a XLII, spend 1/2 the cost to acquire, then refurbish the interior. There are multiple 60 series XL-40’s for sale right now.

For my situation, there’s a good chance I might need to sell my current coach some time next year, in order to build a new house. If I do indeed need to sell, then after the house is complete, I would get another, this time a 40 footer. I actually have a lot of questions regarding selling, but better discussed in a new posting.

Liam, Wakespeed WS500 might work for Lithium as a alternator regulator.

In most vehicles as well as motorcycles up to 80% of all stopping force is on the front wheels, due to weight, weight transfer upon deceleration, etc. Lock up the rear wheel on a motorcycle and I promise you it will pass the front end very quickly. In most front wheel drive vehicles the rear wheels are there just to hold the back end up, kinda like a trailer.

It might not be the switch it might be the control box for the switch, My friend had that problem and his ran full blast, he replaced the switch and no change. I read some stuff about this controller and it it pricey and it said if you good with electrial you could fix it yourself ??

Chuck, do you mean hub or tires?

Your experience may vary from mine, but this is what I have found on my coach.

First, my tire pressures are set to 5 PSI over what the Michelin chart specifies for the axles. After a couple of hours of driving on a hot day with ambient temps near 90 my tire and sidewall temps were all within about 5 degrees of one another, with the sunny side slightly warmer.

I have never seen tire tread or sidewall temps greater than 145.

I usually go to the bathroom before I get out to check tire temps so they have about 5 minutes to cool a little.

I also checked hub temps at the same time as tires but I cannot remember the readings except to say they were not much different than the tires.

Now I am relying on the Pressure Pro temps which are not really taken with a temperature sensor, but likely are calculated based on an algorithm.

We’ve not stayed there recently. Years ago we used to only stay there, on many stopovers on the way to Florida, and we really liked it for our 40′ motorhome. Comparing it to the motorcoach resort where we go nowadays… it seems kinda tight for 45′. It’s also sorta the opposite side of the island from the beaches, restaurants, golf, etc. and as far as I know, NOT connected to the rest of the island by sidewalks for walking or biking which is what we like most about HHI.

We once had our only Manatee in the wild sighting right there though, in the little marina they have on site. Pretty cool.
