I received my rivets today from Prevost.

First off the did not inform me or communicate that the were shipping from Canada. I called to check on the status and was old to provide my Fed Tax ID or SSAN. I did and 3 days later here they were. I opened the box and saw a aluminum 3/16 X 1/8 rivets. Nothing at all like I needed. These are the same ones I could have gotten from Lowes. I now am out one month and 1300 for 20 dollars worth ov rivets. I will call the Dallas office tomorrow and see what they have.. I will also attempt a refund for this item. Any help would be nice.

Jon, you do realize CC OTR air uses an engine driven compressor; don’t you? I’m not using an inverter for my air. You are correct in that your OTR air will cool quicker. 1,100 HP and 2,500 lb/ft of torgue will get you to 65 sooner too. Both are overkill for most. I thought most were kidding when they said you were cold. Now I know why. As for whether our systems will use the same engine HP to maintain a given temperature I can’t say. They will need to produce a similar amount of BTUs in cooling. How efficiently each can do so will determine the HP needed.

You like your OTR air and I like mine. It doesn’t get much better than that. Back to the original topic. I like the Day/Night shades and no this isn’t a CC thing.

For those following this thread, I just wanted to let you know that Apple has approved my update to the RV Dash app.

I have added a DEMO mode, so that anyone with an iPad can download, and see the app in action. Simply download and run RV Dash. After about 5 seconds when the CANpod is not located, a trouble-shooting dialog will appear. Now, on that dialog you’ll find a DEMO button. Simply tap the DEMO button, and the app will internally stream data from a file stored in the app. The data was captured from my bus on a run down the freeway to Prevost at Mira Loma. The data will play for about 3 minutes.

During that time, all the controls will be operational, and you can give the app a shake-out, change the control layout, try the different modes etc.

The app is currently free to download on the App Store.

    Ben,

Welcome to PC. To change out a bed is a serious undertaking, depending on the vintage and layout of the coach. If you need a king it is likely to be a “California King” because a full king will take up a lot of space. The queen beds aren’t even a real queen.

If the lack of a king is a deal breaker then your first step is to figure out in the following order where to focus your search. Start with a budget. If your budget is in seven figures you don’t have to worry because you can probably get one built with a king, or you can get a great coach and have it modified for a king. But if your budget is low six figures you may have to buy a relatively inexpensive coach and then spend a five figure sum to modify it for a king. If you have the budget for a slide coach then you may find one such as ours which has a “king”. Actually our king is 72 wide by 78 long and is closer to a “California King”.

As a potential buyer you need a list of wants and needs anyway so starting with your budget create a list of wants and needs placing the items on the list in the order of importance because it is unlikely you will ever get everything you would like. All of our coaches are very good, better than any plastic coach out there, but due to limited space we all have compromises. Your list is literally going to guide you towards the coaches that meet your needs and you may rule out a lot of what’s on the market. But you will be able to very efficiently focus on the coach you want.

    Good luck.

Paid $800 and change. Called Prevost at Elgin and was quoted a lot more. First time found them to be so far out of line.

Plus I got the pad today. As the price of pads it was more than my IPad.

All the 50D leaking problems I have saw was caused by people losing the regulating orfice when they changed lines or the alternator they don’t care for the big voulme and high pressure all at once.

I dont believe Prevost even shows that orfice in the parts book but the Delco book does

    good luck

This one is tough for me! Black and Decker…common now! Are there no coffee lovers out there? Folgers, Yuban or Tasters Choice, oh and for the New York contingent, Chocked full of Nutz??

You are not drinking coffee unless A: you grind your own beans and they are fresh B: buy a coffee that is palatable to the descriminating palate, ie: Peet’s, Major Dikinson’s, Starbucks Verona, Seattles Best, and C: have a device that will actually brew you a good cup of coffee.

Throw that other junk away and either install a Chemex (old but reliable), a French Press, perhaps a fancy Italian Espresso Maker or…failing all of that, a Cuisanart Machine will do! At least Cuisanart is associated with food!

That home brew Black and Decker, or if you prefer Mister Coffee, stuff is NOT DRINKABLE! Just something odd about drinking coffee made in a machine that is in turn manufactured by a company that makes electric drills.

Don’t waste your time or money on anything but the best when it comes to coffee!
