Prevost has an upgrade to the filler neck. I would suggest you talk to Prevost about the issue and they might have the kit for an H. I know it is available for the XL.
The issue has been solved for the XLII, at least my vintage. Prior to my 06 XLII I had a 97 XL and like you said it would puke copious amounts of fuel. Cost me a new pair of jeans and a pair of good shoes.

Interesting how opinions differ. I have owned 6 H’s over the years. When Prevost changed from a solid axle to IFS I noticed a huge difference in driving especially going into curves. IFS would be a must for me.
The first 3 coaches had over the road air. The last 3 did not. At first I was really concerned about this. We found that the dash air did a great job especially combined with the front cruise air which can be run off the house batteries. For the few times that we needed more we would turn on the generator and run additional curise airs. OTR cost quite a bit and takes a very long time to pay for if paying for out of generator fuel usage. The most important thing though was we gained a full storage bay on the passenger side. I would not want an H with OTR for this reason. What you lose in storage space does not outweigh the benefits of OTR for me. I live in Florida and I defintely understand the need for a/c.
My current oach is a Vantare with HWH slides. I have had only one problem with my slide not coming in. Called Donnie Meyers RV Service and he talked me through how to get slide in. It came in, but would not lock.Drove it home 2200 miles without incident so that Donnie could repair. We replaced all of the Slide motors, etc. as preventitive maintenance while repairing..

I learned through developing shipping skids that given the right frequency vibrations can literally disassemble an engine.
We had a customer who shipped their diesel engines on returnable skids and before supplying the skids our design had to pass impact tests and vibration tests. Vibrations will break welds, loosen fasteners and crack steel. Given the right circumstances anything can break.

Jon, thanks for the info and recommendation. We made our reservations at the Baymont Inns and Suites. We are also looking at a few buses for sale in Tennessee while we are there.

Ace,
We have a 500 hp 8V-92 DDEC II in our 1992 shell. We are utilizing Ray Davis’ glass dash app with IPad to supplement our analog gauges. It is informative to see the comparison between what the analogs read and what is coming from the coach diagnostic port. Coolant temps per glass dash app on flat at 65 mph outside temps in th 40-50 range coolant doesn’t go much above 183 degrees. Hill climbing it goes up to 187. Warmer weather hilly country with OTR on we climb to the 191-193 range. All along our pyros hit about 1100 with the cruise on. More using foot feed and backing off the throttle tot calm the pyros. Several instances we have had too pyros in that its almost impossible to keep under 1100 degrees while gearing down we have discovered our fuel filter is plugged. I know, I know folks say a diesel running leaner than it should doesn’t raise temps like a gas engine but….. Each time the temp creep happens I change filter and presto. Happy coolant registering the 180’s once again. The two times this has happened and most recently March 1st we fueled at the Barstow Ca Flying J using the RV car island. 2 years ago we used the RV island at Beaver Utah Flying J and later couldn’t keep pyros down coolant temps went up to 195 on the analog in first gear going over Vail Pass we barely made it. Once agiain chaned filters And Voila happy coolant. So when was the last time fuel filters were changed and maybe you got some questionable fuel. We have learned now twice never go to Flying J RV island for fuel. Two separate instances two years apart hmmm

That’s better than I expected. When it comes to tire replacement time I wonder how many even consider the super singles. For high milegae drivers they should realize better fuel economy.

Now now boys you all know I was in charge of the water sourse at the convention center, and my only comment is NO COMMENT it worked on all most every body. BUT I made Rita drink almost two gallons, had the perfect bus there and still driveing the old 97 rainbow so the Water was not the only factor, Thanks Yall, Me
