We have stayed at a few. We call ahead, confirm availability, and learn exactly where to park.

Get settled, walk in, say hello, and buy a bottle of wine/block of cheese/whatever it is that they produce. Everyone one else camping does the same; and it is typically a good time.

We did not sign up or use the app; just learned about specific locations from friends and called directly. The hosts did not care if we used the app or not.

I recall a wonderful location in Tillamook, Oregon. They made brie and had a petting zoo. We stayed there with 3 or 4 other rigs.

    This is all pre-pandemic.

Thanks Mark, I may end up doing that after the roof is coated. Seems like an easy modification.

It’s not about the color, it’s about the chemistry. There is 2 yr conventional standard life coolant and then there’s extended life Organic Acid Technology.

You probably have a 2 yr conventional. Add any conventional on the list that I emailed you.

Jon, on my H3-45 Vantare I cannot pressurize the coach because I have 2 automatic vent fans in front to cool the electronics in the overhead and 2 in the back to cool more electronics. When it gets hot, they come on and suck the hot air out. Surprised that it doesn’t seem to affect the AC when parked.

Get actual model designation and go on Ebay and look for used engine and just google the engine and you will find people selling used engines.

    Leaks
If you have a big leak it cycles to keep the system(s) within their operating range, 90 to 120 psi.
If the unloader valve(s) in the engine driven compressor are leaky it will cycle often.
Mine doesn’t cycle unless I use air out of at least one of the 3 systems.

That looks like a well labeled and somewhat comprehensive junction of wires and electric glory. Unfortunately, I have nothing that even resembles that on my ’98.

I’m pulling all the GFI’s tomorrow in hopes of finding the culprit.

    Thanks again

Jeff, if your H3 has a pan or panel between the bottom of the radiator and the engine block, and you have a lot of open venting through the rear of the coach that full width flap is contributing to the low pressure area immediately to the rear of the coach.

That low pressure area pulls air through the radiator to assist with cooling.

If you do not have the area between the bottom of the radiator and the engine blocked then the designer’s intent was to spill air out the bottom of the coach and in that case the full width flap under the bumper is inhibiting air flow and you likely would benefit from its removal.

The amount of air that has to move is enormous and messing with that air flow impacts the ability of the heat from the engine to be rejected. I would guess a big stacker, close to the rear of the bus (short tongue) would have a huge detrimental affect. The good news is unless the coach is in high ambient conditions and is pulling a long steep hill, the cooling system may handle it.

    Thanks Don!

That all makes sense to me! Now I understand

how the aux tank is getting air when the 110 compressor

is not on. I will have to get the soapy water out and

see what I can find. It’s a big leak so I hope I can locate it

deep in the bus. For now can I just shut the 110 compressor while driving

and only run it when parked for using the microphor toilet which I’ll probably

replace if it does not operate properly? The Previous owner had it completely

checked out and the valve and flapper were replaced so it should work.

    Should lol

    Mark:

Never thought about putting a emergency switch in the drivers compartment for the toll window. Is that something you had done or is it something the newer Prevost have?
