This crisis has gotten so bad we have amended our policy of only wiping on even numbered days. Effective immediately we are now using both sides of the toilet paper.

If you think the above is absurd, you can also think I am giving my finger to the frenzy and will continue to live life as we always do. We will be in Pandion Ridge as planned. If you think I am wrong, oh well.

    We’ve been wearing Huggies.

Never realized what a time saver they could be, and when TP is back on the shelves we just might stick with them.

    Depends.

The bottom picture of the front passenger side appears to show the tire on the rim, but not seated on the bead. I am not sure but it also looks like there is a tear at the top of the tire which would indicate it lost air rapidly.

By bottom picture I mean from the first post, not the one John posted which is a different coach.

I increased the size of the photo as much as I could and if that in fact is a tear or sideways cut that could explain the rapid failure. Does anyone else see it?

I had a 2006 model year chassis for my Legendary XLII. I found that I had a newer version of slides that had multiplex controls, but the rest of the chassis was not. There were dash a/c changes and some other minor things if I remember right. I would not rule out a 2006 for any reason I can think of unless whole coach multiplex is a necessity for you.

Regarding over greasing the tag caliper and drum fitting… what is the proper procedure? This is on my long list for upcoming maintenance.

People came to visit Tom at the PREVOST show…could not figure how to get in…they kept knocking on the cab doors waiting for him to answer…I think he lost battery sales because they couldnt find him….

Tom, I would not go by what the literature says. I had found a white paper that was published by Relion that is probably still floating around the internet and it had recommendations that were just wrong. It appears that something must have gone wrong after it was published so they changed them. One change was to go down to 14vdc from 14.2 for parallel applications. At 14vdc you still get 95%+ capacity. It could be that they have changed recommendations again from 2 years ago. 13.3-13.8 sounds really low and will reduce the available capacity of the battery significantly, if I remember correctly. That seems to be more in line with the charging voltage from the alternator as opposed to the house charger. That would be fine. It is so nice to pull in somewhere to dry camp and not have to charge batteries. Before going to bed.

When you are in constant current mode, voltage is not a consideration. In constant current mode you are giving the batteries all of the current they can take regardless of voltage, up to the limits you have set on your charger. I believe I had mine set to 100A each and I believe that 120A was the limit. If you have batteries in parallel they will share the charge current so, in my case with (5) batteries, they can take a lot.

I would highly recommend that anyone considering buying them contact Relion directly to get their latest recommendations and set the charging profile as close as you can get it followed by a review by Relion again to make sure they agree.

I sold my coach last week so I no longer have access to the settings. Magnum is supposed to be coming out with another inverter/charger that may be a better fit than what is currently available.

All kidding and BS aside (I’ll pick that up down the road a bit) Jon Wehrenberg is the Prevost maintenance guru among us and likely has a world class tracking system. Having flown and owned high performance aircraft and a few Prevosts, I’m sure he has a great system.

Myself and probably a few others would likely benefit from seeing the system(s), Gantt and pareto charts, graphs, spreadsheets, etc. that Jon uses to keep track of maintenance, repair, replacement, upkeep, and upgrades of his coaches.

I’m less interested in seeing specific data on Jon’s coaches than I am on seeing the structure of the forms he uses for tracking.

Maybe he could post the Excel spreadsheet templates he uses or a PDF of the same.

I have worn out Dish and Dish outdoor which is not Dish but another company and the finger pointing goes toward KVH and now they are saying dump KVH and get a Winegard.

On a previous trip KVH was throwing stones at Dish and their poor coverage. Today as my final effort I am making a last call to KVH even though I have tried both eastern legacy arc, western arc plus manually selecting 119 and 61 satellites, all with success at getting some channels, but far from all, including some we enjoy the most, Signal strengths have all been good as shown on KVH and Dish.
