Florida and Coronavirus??
We have been planning a trip for almost a year, from the Central Coast of Calif up HWY 10 through Texas into Naples Florida then into Key west Florida, and we are a little concerned traveling with this going on. We are suppose to leave here on April 6th and arrive in Naples on April 21st then Key West on May 1st for 9 days then turn around and head for home. Anyone in Florida that is worried about the Coronavirus??

Watch the papers and the t.v.
u have a better shot in your Rv than on an airplane. Eat in your Rv It will be hot by then and probably kill off the virus by then.
I think it thrives. Better in the cold than the heat.
Driving is more scary than the virus.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – CORONAVIRUS
Last evening dining out with friends, one of their uncles, who’s graduated with a master’s degree and who worked in Shenzhen Hospital (Guangdong Province, China) sent him the following notes on Coronavirus for guidance:1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold
2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose.
3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27 degrees. It hates the Sun.
4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours – so if you come into contact with any metal surface – wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it.
7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but – a lot can happen during that time – you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on.
9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
10 Can’t emphasise enough – drink plenty of water!
THE SYMPTOMS
1. It will first infect the throat, so you’ll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days
2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further.
3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing.
4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you’re drowning. It’s imperative you then seek immediate attention.

Live life and enjoy! It’s the new flu how many people have died via the flu virus it’s just another virus and after this one there will be another one it’s called population control. They weed out the weak. Notice if you are healthy you have good odds of surviving and building an immune to it.

In Florida just west of Ft Myers in LaBelle no worries here. Just use common sense.

We have sealed up our house by duct taping all the doors and windows. We wash our hands for 20 seconds every 20 minutes. We change our face masks every hour. Because it can be transmitted by others we will not talk on the phone to anyone just in case.
Our TVs are tuned to every news channel and we are tracking the spread of this disease and to be safe we are listening to every word the news reporters are saying.
NOT !!!!! THIS HAS BEEN BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION SO MUCH I AM ALMOST WISHING THIS CRISIS AND ITS REPORTING GETS REPLACED WITH POLITICAL ADS.

I’m with you Jon… I mean I want to be with you and Di… Can Dee and I come up there? We will help you re-tape and everything. Maybe then I’ll not have to talk to my kids. They keep offering me a Corona and I know it’s not the beer!

Avoid watching the national or local news. I know quite a lot of people that work in the medical field including physicians and microbiologists that state we should be far more concerned about the Flu. This is being blown way out of proportion to the Flu that kills 25K to 30K people a year in the U.S.
Get an annual Flu shot.

You have what … 1,400 miles of range. You can travel to “safe zones” better and safer than 99.99% of the general population.
