That is around the time Prevost was introducing multiplex wiring in coaches.

Unlike other changes made over the years in which folks have definitely opted for the newer version, such as the switch from the 8V92, IFS over the solid axle, I have never heard anyone say they wanted multiplex systems.

I cannot think of any other change of significance.

Don’t interpret my remarks above as being negative about multiplex. If offers serious benefits including easier pre-trip inspections such as light checks and OTR operational checks, it greatly reduces the amount of wiring, relays, circuit breakers, and can make diagnosis of electrical issues easier.

The downside is the software for the system is proprietary and almost forces an owner to deal exclusively with Prevost. In addition any changes, such as adding or modifying lights as an example will require reprogramming.

I would gladly have a multiplex coach.

I had a 2006 model year chassis for my Legendary XLII. I found that I had a newer version of slides that had multiplex controls, but the rest of the chassis was not. There were dash a/c changes and some other minor things if I remember right. I would not rule out a 2006 for any reason I can think of unless whole coach multiplex is a necessity for you.

I REALLY like the fact my 2006 year model chassis does NOT have a diesel particulate filter!

I was told by Liberty that 2006 Prevost shell was the first year for 4th gen slides. These are called “multi-plex slides”. I was told this 4th gen slide is the latest generation slide still be used today. The slide deploys faster than the previous gen slide.
