Is anyone else starting to see a pattern here?

My concern is no longer about a $30 pair of shoes, but the fact the H3 that is creating these problems for sewer systems all across America has several PC license plates prominently displayed.

Now I become less worried about the 10 year rule, and greatly concerned that PC members will not be allowed if every time that H3 dumps its tank it takes more men to deal with the overlow than it took to build the entire sewer system.

From looking at teh picture and a lttle research the device you are showing is a power converter, not an equalizer. It takes 24 volts and converts it to 12 volts. Thus the large cooling fins on the device. Marathon may have installed these to give you a separate, good 12 volt supply for the trailering package. It is rated at 20 amps.

So there may be an isue with the internal conversion device. The fluid you see may just be oil that they use internally to remove heat from the devices that convert the voltage. Either way there is either a very heavy load on the 12 volt side that keeps the converter working and building heat.

Check with Leon at Marathon (800-365-0156) and let him explain its use and possibly get you a diagram of the wiring both on the input and on the output (if it does go to the trailer plug). You may have a short or a harness rubbed through and it finally touched the chassis and shorted the device. Use Marathon for finding the purpose of the device and you will find your problem.

There is another thread active today about creating inserts to put between the blinds and the windows of (especially) single pane coach windows. If I was full-timing … or visiting Dan and The Redhead in Wyoming to go snowmobiling in the dead of winter I would seriously consider making those for our coach. They could be stored below and pulled out and installed quickly when the temps hit extremes.

Dan mentioned the Corian window sills. We also have Corian window jams, I suspect Dan does too. When I first saw those in a coach I was really, really impressed thinking what a great idea. I’ve chased condensation puddling on wooden window frames and windows sills for decades. Watching it over time ruin and degrade nice windows because you can’t always be there to mop up the condensation. I liked the concept so much that when I bought the race shop two years ago I had the carpenters trim out the windows (jams and sills) in PVC trim; they both thought it was a great idea. We just finished remodeling the main bath of home we own on the Wolf River in NE Wisconsin … I told the tile guy and the countertop guy I wanted the window fully trimmed with Corian … they both thought it was a great idea.

So … as you continue your search (which I think is a great decision on your part), keep in mind how the windows are trimmed out and finished. Will the surfaces be protected from condensation.

To each his own choice. I have always preferred a 2 door jeep. I find them the quickest and easiest hookup.

Just wanted to say that the Hot Springs rally was a HUGE succsess. Pres and Betty were the best Rally Masters

you could have asked for… they were nothing short of amazing. It was such a good time had by all. It was good to

see old friends and meet a lot of new ones. It may have been a small group ( 11 coaches ) but it was the best group

ever. It gave everyone the opportunity to really get to know each other. Iv’e never seen a group gel this well.

Jackie and I enjoyed hosting everyone at our coach each night after dinner. We also liked showing off our beautiful

state to all the folks that wanted to learn a little hisory and see some beautiful sights.Thanks again to everyone

for some great fellowship with PC members.
