Di won’t be having any, but I will be making up for it and plan on helping Wintzels oyster shucker keep in practice.
My tummy is growling already.
If you folks haven’t signed up now is a great time to do so. Cheap oysters, good friends, and nothing to do but relax and enjoy.

If you have leaks on the drive axle, look through from under the coach to see if you have oil radiating from the wheel out along the inner sidewall of the inner drive axle tire. Before you see the oil on the tire the leak has to coat the inner wheel. Sometimes you can also see it by looking between the drive axle tires. You have to lay on the ground and even in daylight shine a good flashlight where you are looking.
Hub seal leaks in the tag and steer wheels can be identified by poking a finger into one of the holes in a wheel and feeling around. If you just get dry dust, no problem. If your finger comes back with greasy dust or dirt the hub seal is leaking.
Just to be clear, do not get under the coach unless it is supported. You can lay alongside the coach and look at the drive axle wheels on the opposite side without getting beneath the coach.

Your AGM’s are most likely toast. You didn’t mention what type of
charger you’re using and if it has 3 stage capabilities, Bulk,
Absorption and Float. Even if you were able to Egualize, I doubt you
can save them. Best to fully charge like Jon said independently and
then load test. You will know immediately if they are beyond saving, especially if they won’t take a full charge. If you decide to get the best, Lifeline, with a 5 year warranty,
let me know and I can help you. -
Ben,
Free advice (worth every cent you pay for it). Your happiness with the outcome of a search for a coach is going to be directly related to how much homework you do. Over the years on various forums we have heard from new owners that bought their coaches sight unseen on the internet, to owners that were highly detailed and who looked at many coaches, asked a bunch of questions and held out for the coach that best met their needs.
And trust me, even though all our conversions share a Prevost chassis every converter has their own way of doing things, how they set up the systems, how they set up the chassis etc. The differences are subtle but based on how you use the coach make a huge difference. For example, I am a clear advocate of Prevost over the road air and heating systems. But that is because of how my wife and I use our coach. If we lived in it full time, and stayed in one spot for long periods spending little time on the road I would likely not put that at the top of my list. An owner who likes to dry camp a lot in primitive areas like Quartzite would likely look for a coach with an abundance of battery power. Someone moving almost daily, or certainly quite often might choose to not have slides. Whatever your wants and needs are they will be your wants and needs, but if you don’t give a lot of thought to how you will use your coach your wish list may not accurately reflect what it really should be.
Keep in mind one thing that separates a Newell from a Prevost conversion. A Newell is built from the ground up as a motorhome. Ignore the comments that a Newell is a coach and a Prevost is a bus because that is just meaningless babble. A Newell is a high quality motorhome, but a Prevost conversion is a commercial quality chassis that has been converted into a motorhome. The distinction is while a Newell is built with quality components in its running gear and can be expected to have a durable quality, a Prevost is truly a commercial vehicle that has been tested and improved over many years and probably billions of miles. I can say without contradiction Prevost coaches drive and track down the highway with none of the characteristics of motorhomes that require constant corrections that tend to wear a driver out.
Good luck.

I betcha that made a noise. Wonder what he hit? If it were mine, I’d probably be silent also or blame it on the wife!

Talked to Rodney (service manager) at The Ft Worth facility and said the second in command (Bubba) is running service at the Houston place. Will open Monday. Northwest side off Hwy.290. He (Bubba) called last night around 7 pm and I scheduled my coach for next Wednesday at the Houston store. Said it’s a smaller place than they have up in Ft. Worth. Gonna give um 1 more try to fix leaning overnight issue.

Thanks Jon. The picture was deceiving as the spacing on the bracket appears closer to the wheel lugs than the axle nuts.
When you replaced the drive axle seals in the articles section do remember what you torqued the axle nuts back on at?

Thanks Tom. Do you have a source for where I might find the torque spec for these nuts.

I believe there is a mall in the area, perhaps Franklin Mills was the name.
We wanted to do some shopping there but we also wanted to park there. This is 15 or 20 years ago so none of this may be worth anything. We went to the manager’s office and explained what we wanted and gave him our business card which had the bus on it.
He accompanied us to the security office where they had a bank of monitors, incouding one that was aimed right at our bus. He explained to the security man there were parking for the night and the security man said he would make sure our bus was part of the rounds the night folks would make. Then he took me to the kiosk where bus drivers get a coupon book for free coffee, sandwiches, and entry to a lounge area, plus Di got a coupon book for specials around the mall.
My point is to ask and you may be surprised. Needless to say Di went out of her way to make his courtesy very profitable.

Prevost fixed the rise part a couple weeks ago at there Ft Worth Shop! Now I’ve got to take it back because it will drop on left side overnight. Gonna replace all air bags. They are original. Told um to do it a couple weeks ago but somehow didn’t get on the ticket. Thanks for the help!
