    Fantastic…….

Here’s a little bit of history. Oysterfest started by accident. Di and I, Roger and Micki Foster and Debi and Bob Boies were heading to a rally and a logical overnight spot for us to meet so we could caravan in the rest of the way was Mobile. We picked Lazy Acres as the campground and before long Charlie the owner sugested Wintzels as the place to go to eat and get some oysters. Not all of the six of us ate oysters, but Roger, Micki and I made up for it.

We enjoyed the campground, and the oysters at $3 per dozen during happy hour, We decided to do it again the next year, and I think about 10 or 11 coaches showed up. With each succeeding year it grew and has been a rally with no schedule, no planned activities, no agenda, just a bunch of folks getting together near the Gulf to eat oysters, have fun and during several evenings we would play music, brag, swap lies, and just relax. We missed last year, but we will be there in 2013.

Oysters this year at Wintzels were $5 a dozen. You would think oysters track diesel prices.

When I look at the pictures of Jon & Di’s beautiful new ride, I have to stop and wonder if any of the rest of us peons will be comfortable parking near him for fear of being unfavorably compared! LOL!

I will have you know that I am now so stuck up I won’t even talk to myself.

You made my day arranging for the 2013 oysterfest. We are really looking forward to it and hope folks who have never been to a no-rally rally can join the fun and so how we can jam pack several days with hooting and hollering and accompishing nothing.

Yippee, the Oyster Fest is back by popular demand and many thanks to Michael and Vita! It’s great getting plenty of advance notice to make plans. Belle Terra did a nice job last year and glad they’re hosting again for 2013.

You don’t have to like those snot balls, just put this event down on your calendar and you will have a good time with lots of bus folks and plenty to do in the surrounding area.

Put us down as a Yes Michael….

Rumors report camera crews will be on alert with spotters posted on the interstate near Jon and Di’s home next week.

We have no idea what the going price will be for 1st photos.

My callander is already marked and can not wait. Will bring plenty of non oyster food to share and be ready for a good time. Thanks for organizing the (as Jon says, a non-rally rally) rally. Any help I can be just let me know.

    Did the same yesterday Michael.

Actually requested the site we stayed on several weeks ago. So any one thinking about signing up this would get your pick of a site in the park, waterfront, pull through, close to club house etc.. See there web site for a park map.

Secured with a credit card but not run through until next year. I saw the reservation on my e-mail and the amount was not billed but noted as….due.

Courtney, was the contact at the park.

I’m using Jon’s credit card and I’ll make my reservation right away. Once the 06 is in the garage, the card will be maxed out!
