For those that have never been to the Everglades, here’s a few pictures for you to think about.

Sometimes as many as a hundred white pelicans show up in the out islands.

Same birds seen from Gdaddy’s Bell Jet Ranger, the only way to fly!!!!!

Man, sign me up. I’m tired of looking at this dry Texas country and these cows.

This is a great place, but the noise has taken it’s toll on us. This is the place you go to for Airboat rides and there must be 6 or 8 companies with bunches of Airboats that start everyday about 8:30 and the noise doesn’t stop until around 5:30 pm. All day, every day and you never get any peace and quiet until after 6:00 pm. On top of that, the wind has been blowing like crazy everyday since we’ve been here.

This facility is over the top for amenities and the folks that run it are the best, but unless noise doesn’t bother you or you stay in the bus all day, be prepared for the never ending scream of non-mufflered aircraft engines driving a big prop.

We did not David. After talking to folks here, it’s nothing more than a noisy boat ride for 800 a couple and last about 25 minutes. Some wildlife may be seen, but that’s about it.

I’m told if you get out of Everglade City like up on Hwy 41, there are Airboat tours that actually get you out in the grass lands and you’ll see gators.
