Chris,
The Houston Prevost facility is supposed to open this week or next. It is located on the Northwest side of Houston close to the Sam Houston Race Park (horse racing). If you call the Prevost shop in Dallas they can give you the details. I understand some of the Dallas team will be working in Houston to get it up and running.

By the way did you ever make it to Rayford Crossing?

I understand Vangauard is opening 1 in St Louis and another in Georiga somewhere has anyone heard anything about those yet the one in Phoenix is always booked nice people

Perhaps we can get our friends at Prevost to come on and list their new/proposed facilities….would love to see something a bit closer to us.

There is nothing shown on the Prevost Car web site, either on the seated coach or the conversion side for the Houston facility. I suspect there will be a press release when the shop(s) are up and running.
On the seated coach side of the web site the service locations are shown in great numbers. However I would exercise great caution in bringing a motorhome conversion to the local Volvo dealer even if it is listed as a certified Prevost repair center. While our coaches share some components with large trucks such as our brakes, engines and transmissions there are enough differences even there that would make me concerned.
And if the coach has suspension issues it is almost assured nobody will even know what a Norgren valve is, much less understand the logic of the level low system. As inconvenient as it might be to travel to a Prevost service center such as Jacksonville or Mira Loma it might be far less expensive than paying for on the job training at the local Volvo store.

They do a lot of Prevost motor homes and entertainers at Vanguard in Phoenix Jon that divison is spotless and so are the techs lol they do take pride in their service
-
Spotless and pride are not necessarily indicators the Prevost owner whose coach has a problem with the level low is going to get a tech that can immediately grasp the cause and fix the problem.
For some owners who have opted to take Prevost specific problems to a local truck or RV shop a considerable number of them have paid dearly for on-the-job training. Over the years there have been many posts by owners who spent serious money to have a tech go around under the coach with a squirt bottle of soapy water looking for a reason why the coach would not come up to the drive height or would lean overnight.
I don’t doubt there are good alternatives to Prevost service centers for chassis repairs. But I think an owner has to be very selective about where he brings his coach and for what type of repair. I would be comfortable bringing my coach to an other than Prevost (or converter) shop for brake work or air bag replacement for example, and maybe even some engine or transmission work if they are a Detroit or Allison shop, but I would be reluctant to bring it to other than Prevost or a converter for repairs to the OTR, or level low or XLII windshield replacement for example.
By the same token there is no chance I would take my coach to Prevost or any of their certified repair centers to address issues with my conversion part of the coach.

Prevost got word that LocStar was in the Houston area with a bottomless Gov’t checking account.

Fast Roger,
Remember the old saying, “Man who lives in new Liberty double slide XLII house shouldn’t throw stones”. You made a profit on your investment with me. And yet, I still get poked with the stick. Harsh, way harsh.
-
LocStar…….maybe the King is confused. He might think you still work for us so he feels comfortable poking you with a stick. And what’s with the abuse you are heaping on Liberty 2 slide owners? What did we ever do to you beside provide a lot of bailout money?

Talked to Rodney (service manager) at The Ft Worth facility and said the second in command (Bubba) is running service at the Houston place. Will open Monday. Northwest side off Hwy.290. He (Bubba) called last night around 7 pm and I scheduled my coach for next Wednesday at the Houston store. Said it’s a smaller place than they have up in Ft. Worth. Gonna give um 1 more try to fix leaning overnight issue.

Just was sent an e/mail the address is 10155 Windfern Rd, Houston Tx. 77064. Right off the Toll Road Beltway 8.

Glen,
If you want to further the discussion about the leans start a new thread under pneumatics. For the benefit of you as well as others who may fact the problems with leaning it is not rocket science.
A few important facts have to be recognized. When the key is off whatever air pressure is in the air bags should be “locked” in them by the 5 port Norgren valves when they go to their normally closed position.
Regardless of what the pressure is in any of the other systems (primary and secondary brake or auxiliary) even if those pressures drop to zero the air in the suspension should remain as it was when the key was turned off. With one exception. That exception is on early model coaches and that is because the aux air system must be maintained at or above about 35 PSI otherwise the three port Norgren between the tag and drive axle air bags will open and dump tag axle air bag air making the coach lean.
If the aux pressure is maintained, and the coach leans the leak is in one of the three air bags on that side, or the three port Norgren valve or the five port Norgren valve or one of the air fittings or hoses from the five port Norgren to all of the air bags.
New facility, techs in training, all adds up to an empty wallet unless this is warranty work to cover previous repairs.

Thanks Jon for the reply. They put new valves on last trip (1 month ago) didn;t replace bags. I have the valve numbers on ticket in bus. They (bags) are original 1991 models on coach. Looked yesterday after I moved it and they look new. No cracks on rear, couldn’t see front. This bus only had 52,000 miles when I bought it. Stored for the last 7 or 8 years before I bought a couple years ago. They said they looked alright. It never has gone down this quick before they done the recall work on it. There was several no charge idems on ticket. Will have that talk with them next week. Yeah I know about the deep pocket thing. Mine are getting shallower as I try to get this puppy fixed. I will let them have one more shot.
We still use it bout every other weekend, but now it will bottom out on left side over night. Right will stay put.
