Find one that someone has lost interest in, then you save money and possibly use your amount of interest to finish it and not run out as the previous owner.

I had the opportunity to ride in an RV7 and do a little aerobatics, much better than riding in a Cessna lawn mower.

That would be like restoring an old car. When you are done you have something the market values at a whole lot less than what it cost.

Grab your Trade-A-Plane and buy one for half what the builder has in it.

A second concern I personally have is if the FAA did not certify it, I would never have gotten in it.

    Bernie,

He does leave his lights on to remind him he has juice and hopes it will run off the yard rats that eat his garden. At least with the lights on the the little buggers can see what delicacy is available.

Full time Liberty bay fans had me stumped until I figured out they were hard wired to the inverters and couldn’t be turned off. Maybe that’s the reason one was dead. Couldn’t come to grips with fans running when it was 25 degree’s, so installed new fans with temp controllers.

    A1 loves this subject.

Mine will turn red on occasion. Usually, it just takes removing the led (grab the outer edges and gently pull it out), blow out any dust then carefully reconnect. This usually fixes it.

That is what I get off of Dish. Plus Dish has its own section for music so it is likely we get everything. But if i did what Bill says we would have to park to get such variety.

Bill, a Detroit engine shop should be able to read whatever is necessary. Lack of support is a reality and there is nothing any of us can do about that. What you can do is provide yourself with some protection in the form of a DDEC reader.

Every coach I have owned was DDEC I, III, or V and as soon as I found one on ebay I bought the reader with the software. My purchase prices were $500, $500, and $1000. With the current DDEC V reader I also got software for the ABS and transmission so it was worth the price. I searched ebay for a Nexiq reader, but they have options that allow for the use of a laptop so depending on your comfort lever you have choices.

At the slightest hint of an issue on my coach I plug it in at the driver’s seat or back by the rear electric box and I can scan everything and usually know exactly what is going on. The two biggies were I was able to diagnose my failing CAC and recently my intermittent fuel injector issues.

Even if I am not prepared to make a repair, I at least know what is going on, and can look to see what options I have relative to parts and the work to do the repair.

    Why?

I have digital and analog gauges reading the same circuits and I get the same information from both. In fact the digital is so sensitive its reading in tenths and hundredths of a volt it bounces its numbers all over the place. It is accurate, but the lack of damping is kind of goofy.

I don’t know what you have going on George, I remember you had email issues as well. What browser are you using? Safari, Firefox or Chrome work with no problem.

When I search for Royale I get this and it’s sold.

Do you have some tips for driving that much in a day. I find it to be tiring mentally – paying close attention to driving, merging cars etc.

If the output is 149 volts it is a good thing that power is not getting to the coach.

I have no knowledge of how or what Royale or Powertech did for the intallation, but I do know to exceed the nominal 120V by that amount is not good.
