I was not aware that that occurred. Barr had ordered it earlier and it wasn’t done so they finally did it. Trump was not even aware of it. He wanted to go to that church and do what he wanted to do.. So what was wrong with that

I don’t think there is a single answer to what is involved in swapping pumps because it all depends on how far back in the plumbing you have to go to get the flex or separation needed to get the attach points clear of the pump. Joel is right and in some cases where flex tubing is used it could be easy, but where hard piping like copper or steel or ABS plastic is used it could get very involved.

Nice that’s a hell of a project just like mine I couldn’t find a good deal on a complete front cap so decided to do everything my self I’m with you on these shops that cut out the cross supports and fail to reinforce, I am adding reinforcements everywhere I can. I decided to modify my front bumper supports I couldn’t justify the money prevost wanted for them and these junk yards that do have parts are asking nearly full price same as new crazy! I was forced to do this as i hit a dear and damaged the driver front side.

Thanks for the info on the Marathon in Indio. I’ve actually looked at and drove that coach. Came close to jumping on it but the wife didn’t “love” it.
I am surprised how many XL’s I’ve seen with the “oil can” effect. My buddy Nick, who has been building entertainer coaches for over 20 years, says it’s from the heat of over polishing and that only a few polishers that he knows of, do it correctly and don’t warp the skins. I’ve looked at a lot of coaches over the past few months and the contrast is surprising. Some, like mine, show zero signs of oil can and some are quite extreme. I’ve never polished out my coach because I like the nickel look. I know this has been discussed before just throwing in Nick’s perspective.

Cannot recommend the Prevost replacement part as it is thin /flimsy and has failed in less than 8K miles

I used to use them when I put a RZR800 side by side in the bed of my F250. They worked fine, and I’m sure they add some support. My concern was that they rely on the latch to support the tailgate load. That said, the factory support cables were never under tension when I checked them.

Just replaced mine yesterday. No all that hard. Part was $980, put jack stands under coach, remove nut on ball joint, put jack under ball joint & apply some pressure, tap the side with hammer, ball joint separates. Remove screws, slide old one off, new one on, run screws through new rubber boot, reinstall ball joint, tighten nut, put Carter pin back in, clean up – your done.

I finished the passenger side. Soon I’ll change the driver side seal too “before” it starts leaking(preventative mx). It should be a lot easier to clean everything up since that side isn’t leaking(yet).
