Front end conversion
Well folks with all this time on my hands due to this quarantine situation I have had a lot of time on my hands. So I decided to do my front end conversion on my h3. I had all the parts ordered and sitting around in my garage. To tell you the truth I don’t see why these so called specialty places charge so much to do this conversion it really isn’t that difficult. Sure there’s a bit of cutting and fabrication required but nothing an average fella can’t do with all the right tools. The way I see it is if someone has done it or can do it why can’t I, that person learned by trial and error or was coached on how to get the job done. I will post photos later today when I get home.

Here’s a pic I took before th sun goes down I have to remove the front face off again to make a few adjustments, same goes for the bumper so I can get the lines perfect, I am definitely adding stainless rivets so I can have the best of both worlds!

Don’t mind the wood structure next to the bus lol that’s my make shift paint booth which I have to finish. Has 2 exhaust fans and 8 filters ðŸ‘🼠For small parts of-course.

Reading your first post, I’am thinking about what is he talking about “front end conversion”?
Never in my thinking did I put it together exactly what was going on until I saw the picture. That is a first in all the years on PC and what the hell we’ll do it in the driveway in the dirt

Hey Al lol that was my thinking exactly “what the hell why not there’s nothing else to do” lol I will take a bunch of photos over the weekend when I prep the front end for it’s final installation. Like I said before it’s really not as difficult as they make it seem but what do I know I’m just a guy dealing with social distancing and quarantine this is my way of dealing with all of it lol.

While you’re working on replacing your front clip, just suggesting you lube the wiper hardware moving parts.
Years ago we traveled a couple of rainy days. Wipers were used continuously bringing on a squeaky linkage inside the coach behind the dash. I had a hell of time getting lube onto these moving parts.

i am getting ready to take on the same project. Are you switching out the windshields as well? Did you get the complete bumper assembly from Prevo or did you buy the bumper cap from alternate source, if not stock, how did you mount it. Any in process pictures would be appreciated.

I’m thinking about the windshields but I might go ahead and do them as well, I bought the bumper cover not the whole assembly from prevost, it takes a bit of modifying the original bumper support but nothing major if you have the right tools. Believe it or not the new style bumper supports are slimmer than the old ones so you have to trim yours a bit. You also have to notch the front structure where the old headlights where located to fit the new front end nothing major. I will snap a few detailed photos for you tomorrow.

I can relate to that idea. I just finished a front end conversion myself. Bus is at the paint shop now. If you have any questions let me know. All parts I used are original Prevost, including the complete front bumper assembly.
