To emphasize what Art said, running any heavy loads through an inverter is hard on the inverter. That is especially true of A/C units with a heavy current draw on start up of a cycle.
Everything in the electrical system is worked especially hard if the electrical system is not unloaded before switching sources.
If you do run heavy loads through an inverter make certain the inverter internal fan is working, any external fans are working, and the interior of the inverter case is cleaned occasionally to remove dust, lint, dog hairs, etc.

Around 1984 to 1986? Guessing on the change to 102. The key is the 96 had polished chrome or stainless fenders, the 102 had rubber fenders.
The first DDEC Prevost was late 1987 and it was denoted by the switch to rectangular turn signal lights on the front replacing the previous round ones.

Not really a do it yourself project.
I have watched Jeff (ETLC) do it several times and they take the awning off the coach and have to unwind the awning, take all the tension out and slide the material out of a small track. Takes two or three people.

“Did I feel “safe” at home?”
I never, ever, feel safe at home when I’m working in the shop. Of course I have band-aids easily accessible in the tool box…
Cuts, scrapes and bruises are just part of the deal.
Good job, Dick. You taught us a lot about the fittings.

Harry,
Check around with oil companies in your area. I get fuel delivered right to
the coach. Be sure to order over the road diesel, so you get the right color.

Every scale I have used at truck stops has been long enough and has had sections split just right for me to sit level and get each axle on a section.
When I have used scales at scrap dealers or grain mills they are usually sitting on a large flat approach surface and I just get each axle on one at a time until all three are on the scale and then just do the math to get axle weights. Those are the easiest to step to the side and weigh each axle side one at a time.

So pleased for Davy to see him rolling the green machine again.
For those that would like a place to diagnose and rebuild your ECM, ECM King in Santa Fe, TX has lots of experience doing just that. Diagnose is free. Rebuilt my dead logic and dead power board for $1000. My Cummins M11 is going again. Detroit, Cummins, Mack, International and Allison ECMs fixed with one year unlimited mileage guarantee. They even have a box loaner program.

You can send ECM to them or drop by and they will diagnose ECM in the bus.

Thanks for the reply Rudy. I think I have some more to investigate.
I have been convinced since purchasing our bus 2 years ago that the Wabasto did not mix with the engine at all. But, with all of the reading I have done on this site I have also had a feeling that I may be missing something. I seem to be the only one whos systems are not tied together. I guess a more general question for starters would be are there some early Prevosts whos engine and webasto systems are not tied together?
P.S. I also have 2 fill spouts. One for the engine coolant expansion tank and another for the wabasto expansion tank. Is that what everyone has?
Thanks for the input guys. This has me a bit baffled.
