ANY ONE HAVE recommendations on shock absorbers and when to change

I went with the yellow ones …they were on sale.

Just did mine, rears from Prevost, front from Koni.

They are easy to remove and install so if I have any question about their effectiveness I just remove one and if it expands and compresses easily I replace them all. If I see any one leaking I remove them all.
I buy whatever Prevost supplies as their standard shock.

What Prevost rear shocks? I see they have 2 black ones listed and also a yellow one, obviously they have the Koni also that they have listed as orange.

Koni adjustables(2) on the front
Monroe Gas Magnums(6) on the rear -
so there are 6 shocks on rear of bus

Hey George Yes 6 on the rear and 2 on the front, Like Don was saying you put 2 Koni shocks on front, more pricey shocks, and the 6 Monroes are cheaper

We bought our coach with about 72,000 miles in 2014. We noticed it had a tendency to porpoise under unique road configurations.
We had the three axle alignment done at Prevost Jacksonville in Jan of 2015. There were four other motorhome owners in the driver/owner lounge waiting for work to be finished. One of the guys asked about “shocks”. After an hour or two of discussion I think all of us were putting shocks on our coaches!!!!
I went with Koni’s up front and EOM (Monroe?) in back. It dramatically reduced the porpoising. Others did the same, others went Koni all around.
I never thought to check the compression and rebound on the shocks removed. That is a good idea to validate what you “had”.

Shop was going to replace shocks and they checked for availability and were told Monroe were no longer making them and the local Fleet Pride found only 4 in various locations.
Called Prevost and they had some in stock.
Just an alert to all need to determine if Monroe is actually no longer making these shocks.
I am set as have a full set of shocks coming for my drive and tag. Should last me as long as I am able to drive my coach.
Two coming from NY and two from Mid west.
Two from Prevost Jersey.
Fleet Pride said four was all they could source.

I had Sachs put on mine from Prevost, no problem with supply.

How long would it take to install all 6 shocks on the rear of a XL11?
Do you have to remove the wheels to do the install when using jacks and jack stands?
Does anyone have the Prevost yellow shocks that come with the bushings?
