We put 315’s on the steer and tag but were adviced against installing them on the drive as the spacing would cause the tires to rub periodically and even when they were not they would be so close the heat would not disipate properly and could lead to premature failure.
When it was time for all new tires we installed 8 12R 22.5’s Michelins 3 years ago and we now have the best ride of any set or combination of tires since purchase.

The 12v mon switch will monitor for dry camping conditions and only be looking at your battery voltage for the condition of autostart. the 0-90v is looking at your A/C voltage coming into the coach and will auto start with loss of voltage.

Hi Tom,
We went from a 2011 Mountain Aire 4 slide coach to a 2003 Liberty non slide coach with the 30th anniversary layout. Liberty’s 30th anniversary layout is the best one I’ve seen for a non slide coach. The extra floor space you get with slides is certainly nice but it is just that, floor space. We have ample storage including a stacked washer and dryer. The quality and craftsmanship of the Liberty is just outstanding. Good luck with your search and enjoy the ride.

The coach itself has the string of amber and a single red marker light running down both sides. But most of our coaches also have lights similar to the photo Tom posted that are installed by the converter and are typically used for patio lighting in a campground. In addition I think most also have what are defined as “cornering” or “docking” lights which look somewhat like a driving light and which have more intense lighting to help when making turns in the dark or when lane changing.
The “cargo” lights are not very bright, so if Tom and Gary have found a way to upgrade the lights we have to much brighter LED lights they not only will provide more light they are also likely to make you more secure because anyone monkeying around the coach will be clearly visible.

Without OTR, how do the new Liberty’s cool while driving? I assume the drivers air is dash air, or is it something different?

before trying to start remove secondary filter.. It should be full to the top of fuel…pressure means nothing if it is just building up in this case(shows pump is working)—. while off look at gaskets… make sure there is not a old one left one there by mistake… Just some things to check. Level in filter will tell allot.
by the way the old fuel lines can such air thru them with age… personal experience here. hard find.. don’t jump and change yet do the other things fitst. I found mine by chance-no visable leak but persistant problem I finally pressurized system with air from tank to filter on the 89 XL+= 30lb air air bubbles from soap solution(exterior application) replaced fuel line..Your fuel line is normal a suction line and would suck air in with no pressure to push thicker fuel out until they get to a more detiorated point. Your filter will tell you if you have this problem or any other fuel supply problem before the injectors…Hope this simple explanation helps–I just added the fuel line because of the age of your fuel lines….Bob

I found the culprit. It is the micro switch inside the door that breaks the ground if you pull on the door handle. Just needed an adjustment for a better connection.

It is hard for me to remember the total cost. I switched the entire bus over to LED’s and the only thing on it stock now, are the instrument lights in the dash. Seems to me it was about $1100/$1200 in that neighborhood, but your setup could be more (longer coach).

Jon, I’m continuing my search for a converter. The holiday’s have slowed me down a bit.
I see that Liberty Coach uses one holding tank for black and grey (180 gal). Do you have that in your coach? The more I research, the more I see how different the converters are.
Generally, Marathon has converted 1,200 coaches, Liberty 700 and Millenium 200. When I’m reading various threads, it’s seems like the majority own a Country Coach converstion or a Liberty Coach. You would think a high number would be Marathon just by the numbers or maybe I just haven’t hit the right thread (just an observation).

Right now I feel like I built the pyramids. I finished spreading mulch on my hillside (5 truckloads) and when I get two trees I took down cut and cleaned up I can put in the rest of the mulch, probably two more loads for a grand total of 105 yards.
Di won’t help, so I won’t help her bake Christmas cookies. I’ll eat them though.

On a trip last year our Direct TV puked. I did all the things you are supposed to do to reboot it and finally went to the menu and got the error code message.
After explaining it to several phone answerers all I learned was the receiver was beyond repair. After convincing Direct TV they could bring the new receiver where we were (which was changing daily) they decided to addrress it when when got home.
When we got home they agreed to send a repairman who pushed a few buttons to allow the receiver to download a software upgrade and life was good again. The only problem was a software download was likely interrupted and the receiver just needed to be told to repeat the download. The service guy was upset with the phone people because he said they read stuff from a list and are not trained. If it is not on the list they cannot deal with it so they blame everything else from the dish to the power outlet.
We went through the same gyrations when a receiver failed in the house due to something burning inside (you could smell the burned up internals) yet the telephone talker wanted me to check the outlets, antenna, go to another outlet, etc. I got even. I turned her over to Di who is a whole lot nicer than me and after almost an hour and a half the Direct TV telephone talker agreed the receiver was dead. She made Di go through 100% of their list, ignoring the fact the unit had burned until her list was completed.
The same applies to everything nowadays so it is not just Direct TV. No wonder we try to buy stuff as cheap as possible because we know if it has a problem the easiest thing to do is junk it and start again.

It may well have been a D13 and all I know is what he told me! He did say 1100 RPM at 65 and he was on his way from White Sands, some sort of a HazMat hauler, probably nuclear waste..is that heavy? It was neat as a pin and that sleeper, crazy! He was waiting for some kind of “sniffer” to pick up his trailer and it did have a number of funky looking extra radios installed. I don’t know but there are a lot of crazy things that go on in New Mexico.
BTW I was at Prevost Ft Worth last week and they had one of those government busses, H3, red, white and blue with a big eagle on it, someone had run it into things, a lot of things!
