Michael,
Don’t you have a bus to wash? No need to be here stirring the pot.

I’ve been doing used oil, atf, and coolant analysis on many vehicle for many yrs. I have used Blackstone but prefer Oil Analyzers Inc-OAI, also know as Polaris Laboratories.
I’ve sent the same sample in to both labs. The results were near identical but OAI recommendations are more conservative, which I prefer. The standard OAI kit cost a little more but gives more data, which I prefer. With OAI you can purchase kits with USPS or UPS postage pre-paid.
If you go with Blackstone, spend the extra$ to get TBN results. This will give you an idea of how used up your oil is. Detroit recommends changing the oil when the TBN reaches 1/3rd of what it started out at new, or 3 mg, see p.15 of the following Detroit document.

I think that there is some electrical misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the power pole situation. There are 2 legs of AC current at the 50 amp connection that you plug your cord into. There is NO DC current at the 50 amp power outlet going to your 50 amp cord. Maybe there is a battery/inverter/converter problem that needs to looked into? Folks smarter than me will likely chime in for a better explanation.

Got the last 2 Norgren valves replaced had to drill and tap the frame to replace the valve that was a Burkett valve different size, so I fit the K910026 NC valve and plumbed it in now I just need to check for leaks again and zip tie and clean it up.

MemberJanuary 10, 2019 at 1:26 pm in reply to: PC/Tradewinds Maintenance Seminar – March 22 – 24Another quick update.
We will have Boulevard Tire on-site to discuss tire issues & maintenance. They have also committed to having a technician on-site to inspect tires during the rally.
If anyone needs tires and wants to have them installed during the event Boulevard can do that as well.

I had a situation with 110v water heater, not heating . After found a loose connection on the circuit breaker, after removing the breaker cover panel. I had 12v heat and could hear the breaker “thump” when I hit the 110v button. but had no voltage in the outlet in the bay .

Looks like we have to push the trip till first of October. Are most campgrounds open in October and if so, empty enough that we don’t need to reserve in advance?

Always heard the Mission Bay is tight and awful. Try the one in Chula Vista. Next to marina, nice restaurant and easy drive into town. Has bike path you can ride all the way into the Silver Strand side of. Coronado. Nice place, grass and sites are relatively roomy

3 yrs and 10k miles ago I changed the gear oil in mine Superior gearbox with 1 qt of Amsoil Serve Gear oil (SVO) 75-90w. I believe Mobil1 75-90w synthetic gear oil would work great.
Here is what the Superior Service Manual says about Lubrication:
LUBRICATION
All gear drives are factory tested prior to shipment. They include the correct amount of oil unless specified by the customer to be shipped dry. Shaft bearings are splash lubricated and partially submerged in oil when the gear drive is mounted horizontally. After installation, remove the dipstick and verify correct oil level. If no dipstick is provided, determine level by any appropriate method. In general, the oil level should be approximately half the depth of the gear drive (to the parting line) for horizontal mounting, or to the shaft centerlines, if mounted other than horizontally. Prior to operation, make sure the gear drive contains the correct amount of oil. If under-filled or over-filled, damage to the gear drive or injury to personnel may result.
Approved Lubricants: • For gear drives operating in an ambient temp of 15° to 125° F, and oil temperatures to 200° F, Mobilube HD 80W-90 (or equivalent) is recommended. • For gear drives requiring start-up in an ambient temp below 15° F or operating continuously above 200° F, Mobilube synthetic SHC 75W-90 (or equivalent) is recommended
